This is probably the most vulnerable outfit post Ive ever done.  I honestly wasn't even sure I'd be brave enough to share a swimsuit post.  But I figure, you know what, this is me, as I am, so why not?  I'm learning to really embrace myself as I am, where I'm at in this moment lately.

I have actually never felt better in a swimsuit before, until I found this one.  The swim suit.  It's been a life long search for the right one.  I think I finally found my match.  I love that the top is reversable too.  The inside is a blue and white tie dye.  For the first time, I'm completely in love with a bathing suit.  You can find it under the Billabong section on swim outlet (among so many other cute items).

Ive had this Flying Tomato kimono for a few years now and couldn't believe how fun they look together!  I'll definitely be packing these babies in my bag for vaca!  I'm excited to go on our annual women's family trip to Wimberley next week.  I'm going to miss our little kitty so much!!!  But I know he'll be in good hands with James while I'm away.  Since he came along my instagram feed has pretty much become a cat feed!  I can't help it!  He is just so damn cute.  Ive literally already taken 1,000+ photos & videos of him and Ive only had him a week.  Geez.

I had so much fun shooting this outfit in my new little outdoor space.  This is the beginning of my outdoor hillbilly spa.  I'm so excited to soak in this tub in the heat of the summer with a cold beer.  Ahhhh yes!!!  I have plans to add alot more to this space overtime.  But this is a good start for now!

So, when I put this kimono on, seriously all I want to do is twirl!  It has such a fun feel to it and flows so amazingly, that you literally just want to twirl when you put it on!  Ha ha.  I have to say this kimono already holds a special place in my heart b/c the first night I wore it when it arrived, James and I had a scrabble date that ended up sucking, and I talked him into dancing with me instead over Ray LaMontagne and whiskey.  Probably one of my favorite marriage moments in the past 7+ years.

This hat.  This is the first hat Ive ever owned that is hand-tailored to fit!  I have a very small head, so most of my hats don't fit me properly... or at all really.  I found this nifty hat tape that you can put on the inside of your hat bands to make them fit better, so now all of my hats have it, except this one!  Whisler Civilian hand crafts each hat and they have a wide range of sizes to choose from.  I got the XS and it fits!  I could actually probably have an XXS if it was offered, but this one is a nice fit.  This style is the Cumberland, in Walnut.  I can't wait to style this baby up in an editorial for the spring Bohemian Collective Magazine

Speaking of magazine... I'm full on in mag mode right now.  The days are going by quickly and I have so much to do to make this baby come to life in time!  Maybe Ill do a post soon all about it!  I tossed and turned until around 3 am last night thinking about all the details, so I guess you could say I'm starting to feel a bit overwhelmed.  Just reminding myself to take one step at a time.  At some point I have to figure out when I'm going to do my taxes too!  Eeek!  (deep breath)  It will all get done in perfect timing...

outfit details: kimono - tobi // brown tank top + fringe tank - (I can't even remember) // jeans - hand me downs // hat - garage sale // sandals - blowfish shoes // body chain - hinageshii // copper cuff - silk bone jewels // shadowbox ring + oval ring - bella and chloe // triangle turquoise ring - erica freestone

This post is titled Desire because when I found this hat for $2 at a garage sale all I could think about was Bob Dylan's album cover from Desire... I know that hat is not identical, but something about the vibe of it just reminded me of Dylan.  So everytime I wear it I call it my Dylan hat.  Btw, isn't that album cover just beautiful???  The colors and textures, and that grin on his face.  :)

Hints of spring are coming our way and I couldn't be happier.  Today the sun is shining, and after coming off of a sort of emotionally low week, it feels great.  Yesterday I spent some time in my studio creating for the first time in a long time.  It felt good.  I think I have been going in so many other directions lately that I have lost touch a bit with my own artistic endevours.  It's time to get my creative energies flowing again.  Springtime has a way of allowing that to happen, after so many cold dreary days.

All I know is I am so ready to sit in a river.  I hope we get just enough rain to fill up our river, and then let summer begin!!!  So looking forwards to bbq's and rivertime.

Hello little blog... it's been a while.  I have taken a serious little hiatus from here lately.  Not exactly intentionally, it's just sort of happened naturally.  As things in my life have been shifting I have found my focus in other areas.  I am ready to start finding balance with this space again though b/c I know too much time away can be the beginning of the end and I don't want that.

I have no idea what 2015 is going to look like, as it is all the unknown of course, but I have a good feeling about it.  I feel alot of newness coming in.  Big changes and shifts.  I feel like Ive been unknowingly preparing for something yet to be revealed.  Ive lost a bit of focus along the way and am beginning to feel a bit scattered again as I emerge myself back into the real realm of work and doing.  My road splits in so many directions it can get confusing at times which path to take each day.

I keep dreaming about rivers.  Maybe I'm getting the message to go with the flow of life.  Something Ive been learning more and more about as I have allowed myself to 'do' less and 'be' more.  It's kind of against my nature.  I'm a doer.  Constantly.

Slowly but surely I will find just the right balance of work, play, blogging, doing, creating, resting, self caring, etc.  Life happens, inevitably, so the more I learn to go with the flow of the seasons within me, the better I am for it.  I'm trying my best to pay attention.

About the outfit above, is that kimono not freakin amazing???  I love the stitching on it.  The little shop it comes from is so rad, Nomad, a traveling fashion boutique in NYC.  I so wish I could experience physically shopping in it!  If you are in the NY area go check it out!

This was the day I got my hair cut.  Of course I had a fabulous hair day that day.  That always happens right before you cut your hair, right?  I'm still not sure I made the best decision.  I like it some days, but I also really really miss my long locks.  Luckily it is just hair and its constantly growing :)  (a little pep talk reminder to myself)  At least it is really healthy now!

The next two days I'll be at my Nanna's house for her birthday!  Excited to get to spend some one on one time with her and have a girls night out with a movie and dinner.

Is anyone else so glad the christmas holidays are over?  (I am ;)
