James and the Girls >>>

Last night we decided to grill our dinner on the bbq pit, always a good choice.  The weather was amazing last night.  Lukewarm with a slight breeze, and we had the golden hour light shining on us.  I always end up being the one to take over the grilling... which I like!  I love grilling!  We had chicken marinated in citrus sauce, zuchinni and corn sprinkled with fresh rosemary, and a bit of our leftover alfredo pasta from the night before.  Yummy!!!  James even ate two bites of zuchinni!  I almost couldnt believe my eyes or ears... Afterwards, since our babies joined us outside, we hung out with them for a bit.  I had to run in and get my camera b/c there were just so many cute moments happening!  Its very rare that James lets me take his picture... especially ones by himself like the close up below!  That is almost a once in a lifetime shot, ha ha!  Okay girls... for this post only, I wont get offended if you tell me just how hot my hubby is!!!  I think he could hear it from someone other than me once in a while, so if you think so, go ahead and say so below :)  Every man could use a little reassurance now and then, right?  (healthy reassurance that is...)

Our Weekend in Photos...

We had a fun filled weekend with company.  Our friend Katelyn and her hubby and daughter came to stay with us to go to the Renegade Fair in Austin.  Over the weekend we went to Isabel's ballet performance, had a bbq, swam in the river, had lots of giggles and way too much good food.  It was so nice to see them and little miss Leena did not want to go home today.  It was a super fun weekend with all of our friends.  There were a ton more people and events than pictured here, but I didnt get it all captured.  I purposely did not take my camera to the river so I could really enjoy myself.  I think I had a kid in my lap this whole weekend!!!  I loved it.  But I must admit, its kind of fun being like the 'gran-friend' who gets to play with them and then they go home :)  I get the best of them!

Now its hard to get myself back to work, but it must be done!  I have orders to fill & ship, as well as lots of blogging goals, including a giveaway!  Maybe tonite :)

PEACE,
Laura

Dread Heads

So yesterday I went to my friends house for his birthday. Well, it was two days after his birthday...and I missed the voicemail saying they were all sick, so i showed up anyway. It was a nice relaxing time. My girl Renea was not feeling well at all, which I felt bad about, but she stuck it out regardless :)

They bar b qued. Jen made amazing guacamole. I got to pet Pearl and Mirabel, the kittens we found at the gas station during a skateboarding session break.

My favorite part of the night was when his two little sisters took me to their room and gave me a Michael Jackson Tribute showing. It was awesome, they sang and danced, and knew all the words and ridiculous dance moves, it made me laugh sooo hard, which I havent done in a long time. It was just the medicine I needed. They reminded me to not take life so seriously, which I have been doing wayyyy to much of! All I wanted to do was go home and dance to Michael Jackson! So now when I start getting into one of my random crazy adult serious bogged downed disillusioned fits, I will try to think of Rose and Carin. I wish I had photos!

But here are a few shots from the night.

My friend Jonathan has an awesome ranting blog here:
