outfit details: kimono - frolic apparel // velvet tank - mamie ruth // floral tank - gifted // jeans - american eagle // boots c/o chicwish // necklace - roots and feathers

So, lets just talk about this kimono for a minute.  I'm so so in love.  Its so pretty and lightweight and feminine.  The cut is absolutely perfect, the sleeves have just the right bell to them.  In love.  I will be wearing this baby seasonally.  Sadly this beautiful print is currently sold out, BUT Frolic Apparel has so many new pretties, and is continually creating beauties with new prints, so no need to worry.  My current favorite kimono she has is this beautiful black and white feather print one that is longer, oh my.  Jess knows how to pick fabrics!  Speaking of fabric, I kind of freaked out when I saw she started making bell bottoms, especially in this absolutely knock out print!  Somehow I only recently stumbled across her shop after she was featured in one of etsy's daily emails.  I immediately emailed her to tell her how beautiful her work was, and we found out quickly we had a mutual friend in common, Kinsey from Sincerely, Kinsey, is one of her best friends!  She had seen my blog through Kinsey, so it was a rad first connection (something I love about the arts community).  Through just a few emails I can already say Jess is a sweetheart and I can absolutely see how they are great friends.

I wore this outfit the other night to see my friend who is in town from California... except by the time 7 rolled around its was freezing and I had to change out the kimono for a cozy sweater and I threw on my cowgirl boots just b/c we were meeting up at a local cowboy bar in Bandera and I thought it would be fun(ny).  She is actually coming over tonite for a sleepover!  I'm excited to chill with her, drink some Maker's mark and show her some Portlandia episode's b/c somehow she has not seen them!!!  By the way, you should check her out b/c she interview a ton of really amazing bands on her website, Christie Gee.
