I had so much fun shooting this outfit in my new little outdoor space. This is the beginning of my outdoor hillbilly spa. I'm so excited to soak in this tub in the heat of the summer with a cold beer. Ahhhh yes!!! I have plans to add alot more to this space overtime. But this is a good start for now!
So, when I put this kimono on, seriously all I want to do is twirl! It has such a fun feel to it and flows so amazingly, that you literally just want to twirl when you put it on! Ha ha. I have to say this kimono already holds a special place in my heart b/c the first night I wore it when it arrived, James and I had a scrabble date that ended up sucking, and I talked him into dancing with me instead over Ray LaMontagne and whiskey. Probably one of my favorite marriage moments in the past 7+ years.
This hat. This is the first hat Ive ever owned that is hand-tailored to fit! I have a very small head, so most of my hats don't fit me properly... or at all really. I found this nifty hat tape that you can put on the inside of your hat bands to make them fit better, so now all of my hats have it, except this one! Whisler Civilian hand crafts each hat and they have a wide range of sizes to choose from. I got the XS and it fits! I could actually probably have an XXS if it was offered, but this one is a nice fit. This style is the Cumberland, in Walnut. I can't wait to style this baby up in an editorial for the spring Bohemian Collective Magazine!
Speaking of magazine... I'm full on in mag mode right now. The days are going by quickly and I have so much to do to make this baby come to life in time! Maybe Ill do a post soon all about it! I tossed and turned until around 3 am last night thinking about all the details, so I guess you could say I'm starting to feel a bit overwhelmed. Just reminding myself to take one step at a time. At some point I have to figure out when I'm going to do my taxes too! Eeek! (deep breath) It will all get done in perfect timing...
