FULL MOON CONVERSATIONS

I took these during this past full moon.  During her fullest brightest time, I spent three evenings in a row just sitting outside with her, talking to her.  After my mom died, my relationship with the moon really began to take a personal turn.  I had always had a connection with the moon and stars, felt a strange pull and lure towards them in a very deep way... but this was different.  I began to have conversations with her as if it were my mother.  I remember countless nights in our rent house in town where I would go outside and lay on the front lawn and just talk to her.  Sometimes I would write poetry in my head under her.  Sometimes just feel her, soak her in.  It's like it gave me a face to look back at, now that I no longer had my mom's face looking back at me.  Since then, it has always been so.  There was a while I lost touch with that though, so it felt really good to reconnect in that way during this full moon.  I just sit in my backyard and talk.  Ask questions.  Put things out there.  Dream.  Wish.  Let go.  Cry.  Laugh.  Whatever needs to be felt.  Really it ends up being a very personal session with myself, looking within, and working things out.

This past full moon the clouds were amazing.  Transelvania style.  My favorite kind on a full moon.

I have been missing my parents so much lately.  It's been pretty heavy on my heart for weeks now.  Fortunately, they have shown up in almost all of my dreams!  Countless dreams have taken place at their home, with them their, surrounded with friends and family.  It's been comforting to see them there.

We took these photos when we went down by our river on my birthday.  It's crazy how much its over grown just from last year.  And its kind of hard to believe it was the first time weve been down there this summer.  There was a tiny bit that was flowing enough to get in.  But Im talking like maybe sit in.  Standing its not even up to my knees.  We need some major rain.  Even after all we got for a few weeks, its still so so low.  But the grass is green and the animals are out!  We spotted those two baby deer on the way down there.  Ive been seeing lots of baby deer.  Twice Ive seen one just outside our back yard this week that is so tiny, just a few weeks old.  Its so cute.  I have yet to catch a photo of it.  I only see fleeting moments of it with its mama keeping a close eye on me.  I just love the look on its little face in this photo above!  And the look on Violet's face in the photo above it, ha ha.  She enjoyed our time down there.

When we were there we came across the bones of about half a deer.  We went back today to collect them.  They are not quite done, still a tiny bit of soft tissue left on them, so I just left them in my woods to finish their process.  Its very rare I have come across so many parts like that.

We found the rock that says 'this rock belongs to god' down there too.  I just thought it was funny.  I love coming across random things like that.

In case your wandering, that rad vest was a gift from my aunt for my birthday (good taste)  and I have no idea where its from, but I love it.

A DAY WITH MY FAMILY

The day before yesterday my Nanna, brother and nephew came up to the hillcountry to spend some time with me.  We had such a nice day.  We had lunch at my house and then we drove out to my parents house to hang out on the land.  Aiden and I took a nature walk, we played mini golf on the porch, and just soaked up a little of the spirit that is out there.  Then we came back to my house and got things ready to go fishing at the river by my house.  Aiden was so excited to go fishing all day.  He had his very own spider man fishing pole.  He was so cute and so into it.  If he could of, he would of sat there all day fishing.  When we were done we went to James parents restaurant and got some food.  A perfect day with my family.  So so blessed.

I am so in love with this photo I snuck of my Nanna, reading a book by the window in my parents house.  So so beautiful.  I just love this woman.

Aiden had the best time playing the piano over there.  He was naturally really good at it coming up with all kinds of tunes.  So happy that my mom's piano will now be his.

One more of this sweet boy fishing.  We couldn't get to any spots where there would actually be fish... (but he didn't know that)  He was just so happy to put his pole in the water.  I took some with my real camera too, I just need to edit them still.  Love this little man.

In other news... I'm excited to spend some time with our friends tonite.  Jonny is coming over to jam with James and Im delighted for them.  They are both really excited to sit and write songs together.

Tomorrow I'll have the full moon reports from KV up!  Such good ones this time, seriously.  But then again, they always are.  Truly a gift she has.  I'll put up an announcement when they are ready.

And today is the last day for my huge sale in both of my shops!  Use the code 'DREAMS' to get 30% off in Roots and Feathers, and 50% off in Violet Bella!!!
