I'm super stoked about today's outfit post b/c it comes along with some exciting news... I'm giving away a free pair of Blowfish Shoes!!!  Ive teamed up with the amazing folks over at blowfish to share with you some style inspo & free gifties!  win win.  Read on for details...

Most of you know Ive been a big fan of Blowfish Shoes for quite some time.  I'm not even going to admit how many pairs I own ;)  I love that all of their shoes are vegan.  Completely adorable and stylish.  And ridiculously cozy.  Their heeled booties are some of the only ones I can wear out all day long without my feet killing me.  That is huge for me, b/c as much as I love to put fun outfits together, if I'm uncomfortable, it's on the next!  The biggest plus, they hire some of the raddest ladies to work for them, so their customer service is always great (at least from my personal experience).

For my new year, I'm really loving simplicity, in so many ways.  This outfit really reflects that.  Simple jeans, pullover, booties and some quality handmade accessories.  Of course, I'm a little bias on my sweater, but these new Skyline Fever pullovers are perfect.  Simple, cozy, thin enough for spring or fall... For now we only have the Dylan & Willie designs on them, but we may bring more designs in them in the future.  We have so many new things we want to work on, and such limited time, so right now things will just be coming out as we can fit them in.

Oh, you may notice I added a beautiful blue star to my window!  This star has a story.  Years ago my mom and her sister were at World Market (or somewhere like that) and both saw this blue star and fell in love with it!  But there was only one.  So they decided to get it, and every year at christmas they would swap it back and forth to each enjoy for a whole year.  Now that my mom is gone, my aunt decided to keep up the tradition with me.  I couldn't be more honored that she would do that.  So for the past 7 years, we have swapped it back and forth, and this year its mine!  And it has inspired me to add a bit more color to my corner as well.  It adds the perfect touch of magic.

If you have read this far, it's time to lead you to the blowfish giveaway!  Head on over the giveaway page to enter!  One winner gets to choose any style shoe they want from blowfish! Go go go!

Lately I have been really simplifying my style.  Not in every outfit, but in many.  I'm finding great comfort in just a sweater, skinny jeans and booties.  This has been my go to this winter.  And these booties are so easy to slip on I wear them almost everyday lately.  Comfiest shoes Ive ever owned.

I'm in the middle of completely weeding out my closet and home.  AND selling things on instagram!  I made a new account just for it @laurashomeandcloset.  Go follow for some rad stuff!  I'm letting go... In my quest for balance and simplicity, I am reworking my closet to only keep the pieces that I wear often and truly, truly love.  Many of things I am letting go of are things I love, but just don't actually put on my body enough to keep around.  It's time to make room for the new, and moving forward I am learning to be way more selective of what I buy or collab with.  As we grow, our style naturally ebbs and flows.  It's all part of it.

Are you clearing out anything this year to make room for new?  Not just clothes or material things, but maybe old habits?  Thoughts?  Relationships?  Homes?

I thought it would be fun to recap on some of my favorite outfits worn in 2014.  I'm pretty sure I did this last year too.  (I'm really hoping in 2015 squarespace will come up with a better archiving system so it would be easy to find an old post like that!)... As you probably know, personal adornment is one thing I'm wild about, and 2014 brought in some of my favorite pieces in my closet.  I was beyond blessed to be able to work with and collaborate with some really amazing designers and artisans, through here and on The Bohemian Collective.  I'm excited to see where 2015 will lead me on this path.

The most exciting thing that happened involving my collaborations with rad companies in 2014 was meeting up with the lovely folks from Minnetonka at Willie Nelson's ranch in Luck, TX for the Heartbreaker Banquet.  That was one for the books and a day I'll never forget.

I feel honored and blessed to be a vehicle for bringing inspiration and style to people's wardrobes by sharing so many talented artists, dreamers and makers with the world who make this style come to life.  It is truly a passion of mine.

Looking back on these photos, I cannot believe I cut my hair, ha ha.  Yep, I'm officially regretting it.  (good thing it's only hair!)

Hello little blog... it's been a while.  I have taken a serious little hiatus from here lately.  Not exactly intentionally, it's just sort of happened naturally.  As things in my life have been shifting I have found my focus in other areas.  I am ready to start finding balance with this space again though b/c I know too much time away can be the beginning of the end and I don't want that.

I have no idea what 2015 is going to look like, as it is all the unknown of course, but I have a good feeling about it.  I feel alot of newness coming in.  Big changes and shifts.  I feel like Ive been unknowingly preparing for something yet to be revealed.  Ive lost a bit of focus along the way and am beginning to feel a bit scattered again as I emerge myself back into the real realm of work and doing.  My road splits in so many directions it can get confusing at times which path to take each day.

I keep dreaming about rivers.  Maybe I'm getting the message to go with the flow of life.  Something Ive been learning more and more about as I have allowed myself to 'do' less and 'be' more.  It's kind of against my nature.  I'm a doer.  Constantly.

Slowly but surely I will find just the right balance of work, play, blogging, doing, creating, resting, self caring, etc.  Life happens, inevitably, so the more I learn to go with the flow of the seasons within me, the better I am for it.  I'm trying my best to pay attention.

About the outfit above, is that kimono not freakin amazing???  I love the stitching on it.  The little shop it comes from is so rad, Nomad, a traveling fashion boutique in NYC.  I so wish I could experience physically shopping in it!  If you are in the NY area go check it out!

This was the day I got my hair cut.  Of course I had a fabulous hair day that day.  That always happens right before you cut your hair, right?  I'm still not sure I made the best decision.  I like it some days, but I also really really miss my long locks.  Luckily it is just hair and its constantly growing :)  (a little pep talk reminder to myself)  At least it is really healthy now!

The next two days I'll be at my Nanna's house for her birthday!  Excited to get to spend some one on one time with her and have a girls night out with a movie and dinner.

Is anyone else so glad the christmas holidays are over?  (I am ;)
