Yesterday I took advantage of the fact that we were going grocery shopping in Kerrville and brought my camera so we could do my outfit pics down by the river. It was really bright and sunny, but it was fun to mix it up a bit.  Mr James was my photographer this time.  I just got these black moccasins in from Blowfish about 3 days ago, and Im in love big time.  I know I say 'these are my favorite pair' with each pair Ive ever received... but seriously, I think these are my favorite pair!  I kind of cant believe I waited so long to get them.  If I were you I would race to their shop to get you a pair b/c they are selling fast!!!  And I have been having so much fun styling my vest from O Bella Organics in different ways.  Its kind of a limitless, versatile wardrobe piece.  Love.  And I had been waiting to use this bag from Bird Trouble until I had my lookbook for The Bohemian Collective all done, and Im soooo thrilled to be able to use it everyday now!  Her workmanship is beyond perfect.  Not only is it the cutest bag around, its totally functional.  She put lots of pockets inside, and hooks and things to hang your keys from.  All around amazing bag.

Threads - Blue Velvet >>>

Last saturday was my friend's wedding. I got all dressed and ready to go and even took my outfit pics, and then James came home from work sick that day, so we ended up not going. And by that evening is when my own sickies began, that Im still battling.  This was also the first outfit post with my new hair cut, I got bangs!  And I redid my color, its a little more dramatic that before.  Its been a while since Ive had bangs... I have a love/hate relationship with them.  One day I love them, one day I hate them.  But, they are easy to grow out so I took the chance.  Oh, and I even curled my hair!  *Sorry the image quality is so poor on these shots*

Guest Post - A Beautiful Mess - Feather Hair Clip >>>

 Elsie & Emma of A Beautiful Mess & Food Coma have created a super fun feather hair clip DIY.  I love how they made it unique with hand painting them!

1. Collect the feathers, clip, and twine (this could be rope, hemp, leather, anything you choose).  2. Paint your feathers with fun simple designs.  3. Tape them together just how you want them to lay.  4. Tie the twine to both your feathers and your clip (you may want to add a dab of glue for extra strength).  5. Enjoy!  Clip it in your hair or to your favorite bag!

The Blue Velvet Dress

A little peek into my closet.  As if I dont have enough clothes already???  (this is just one corner of the closet.  Im the kind of girl that has kept certain clothes since I was 15.  Ive just recently been allowing myself to really clean out my closets and weed out the old to make room for the new.  One reason why I had my virtual yard sale a little while back.  And I may just have another one! 

So... yesterday Red Velvet launched their new dress line!  I remember last seasons line sold out so fast and at the time I was in no position to be buying a dress.  And Im really not now either, but I caved and splurged on this beauty below.  I could not choose between this one and the orange one, but I finally went with the blue b/c it reminds me of a pair of blue velvet pants I had when I was younger that my mom loved.  And I have NOTHING blue in my closet, not a color I normally like.  But in this velvet it is sooo dreamy.  I was frantic trying to decide whether or not I could even purchase it.  I knew these dresses would be gone soon and they are not remaking them.  And these are NOT dresses you will find on ebay a few months from now at half price.  No way.  I figure I will just have to work extra hard next week to make up for it!  And now I have a super special dress to wear on a date.  Wait whats a date?  I forgot.  Ill find somewhere to wear it!  I just wish my mom could see me in it, she would be over the moon.

Thank you Elsie and Mallory for making such beauties!!!  Im so excited!
