BABY DON'T WORRY

IMG_4529 [1600x1200].jpg

Saturday we had a full day of family and friends.  Starting out with this little boy's birthday party.  He was so cute and had so much fun.  I also got to see his baby brother for the first time since I left the hospital after his birth.  He is so darn precious.

Is he not the sweetest?  He is a week old today!

Then we went to visit my family at my nanna's house.  We got to see my nanna, my brother, my nephew, my aunt, and my cousin and his new girlfriend.  It was so good to see everyone.  I got the sweetest video of Aiden singing me a Bob Marley song.  Its kind of dark and the quality isnt great, but it was too sweet not to share.  This is actually the second round of him singing it to me.  The first one was even sweeter, a moment I will not forget.

I love that little man.

Then we left my nanna's around 8:30 that night and went to James parents house where they were having a 50th birthday party for his aunt.  Right when we walked into the bar they were all line dancing, even his dad.  It was hilarious.  We ended up hanging out with his family until 2 in the morning.  It was a long long day full of family love.

Did anyone get to witness the super moon?  It has been so beautiful the past two nights.  If you missed it, the KV Moon Reports were posted on friday.  Go check them out!

The Mountain Girl Clothing giveaway ends in 2 days!  Check back later today on the giveaway page for an awesome giveaway from Blowfish Shoes!

And last but not least, a message from my 5 year old nephew... "baby don't worry, about a thing... cause every little thing, is gonna be alright."  <3

Every summer we get inspired to re-vamp our porch area, and this is just what we did the past two evenings.  Ive been wanting to hang up lights on our porch since we moved in, and we finally did!  This area had become so stale to me that I didn't even really want to spend time there.  I realized the other day that it just needed some sprucing up to give it new energy, and it did.  It once again feels like a welcoming loungey area that I want to spend my time in.  Now I just really need to get some fresh dirt to re-pot some plants.

If you follow me on instagram you can see some video footage of it!  I love that they introduced video.  Although, its just one more thing to suck my time... but I love it!

I have been adding lots of new things to the shop, and more to come throughout the week.  And in case you missed it, there is a new giveaway up with Mountain Girl clothing!  I try to post my giveaways on mondays, but I was off this week from the sweet baby that was born!!  Good enough reason for me.  I miss him so much.  Its only been a few days since Ive seen him.  Ill see him at his brothers birthday party tomorrow though!  AND I get to see my nanna, brother and nephew.  Excited.

This handsome little thing is Navarro, my besties third child.  I was able to be in the delivery room and witness him coming into this world, a big first for me.  Something Ive always been a bit (okay, very) scared of... but I don't think I could of witnessed a better birth for my first.  This was Shelley's first natural birth, so we were experiencing some big firsts together.  She has no idea how amazing she did.  We were all amazed by her composure and strength through the whole thing.

The actual delivery happened so fast, and I was behind the lens of my camera, I can barely even see that exact moment in my mind.  It was pretty dark too, so the photos didn't quite come out.  But the whole experience was awesome.  Didn't totally take away my fear of giving birth, but it showed me that I can do it, no matter how I think I can't.

It was amazing to see the difference in the baby's alertness right after delivery without drugs, to my friend who (unhappily) had to have a c-section.  He was opening his eyes and making contact with you right away.  It was incredible.  Man my friends make some cute babies!  He is just perfect, in every way.  Just like little Laurel is.

I stayed at the hospital with them after the birth, so I got to see Shelley's other two kids come meet him first thing in the morning.  The looks on their faces were priceless.  They were so delighted.  This little man is going to be one very loved tot.

outfit details: sweater c/o sheinside (sold out, but there are similar ones here) // fringe top c/o for love of the moon // under shirt - target // shorts - homemade cutoffs // shoes - blowfish shoes (coco) // necklace - roots and feathers (coming soon) // bracelets - ettika + moorea seal // rings - f21 + gifts

I received this sweater a little while back right when it was beginning to get super hot, so Ive been a bit bummed that I just couldn't wear it yet.  But weve had some rainy days lately, and Ive been able to keep it by my side for moments when its cold enough.  I have it stuffed in my bag ready to go to the hospital too for when this baby is born.  I think its just about the prettiest sweater.  I'm sad to see it was sold out, but they have similar ones in cream and pink.  I could of just over looked it though, so it would be worth double checking.  And this fringe top???  Love at first sight.  Sent from the lovelies at For Love of the Moon vintage.  Love their style.  I was so happy I got to break in the Coco sandals from Blowfish yesterday on my moms birthday.  Ever since these were released they have reminded me of my mom.  And its so odd, when I wear them I feel her.  If she were still alive I know Id be sharing all my blowfish shoes with her!!!

Yesterday was a bit of a rough day.  Missing her.  It wasn't an extremely emotional day, just kind of made me feel blue all day.  Weird how birthdays and other 'landmark' days can do that.

I had planned on doing a photoshoot for the bohemian collective this week and its been raining everytime weve had a chance.  Its kind of crazy how long this shoot has been delayed for one reason or another.  But soooon Ill be back in action!

I have some other big daydreams going on up in my head right now.  The kind that is scary b/c of the commitment, time and money that it will take.  So for now its just not in the cards, but Im not going to let the daydream go away.  Has anyone experienced having an Indigogo campaign?  If so, how did it go?
