Im so excited to share today's outfit post!  This shirt has been a week in the making since I didnt have time to do it all at once.  I was inspired by Jill's tutorial here, but used another method.  I cant find the original source now, but it was a simple tutorial on how to use glue.  I started off with a plain white shirt, wrote my Joni Mitchell lyrics with the glue, let it dry a few days (only b/c I was busy), then dyed it with rit dye with an ombre effect.  I love the peachy color it came out.  Then I cut the tee to make it cute with a hi-low rise on the bottom, scoop neck and tulip sleeves.  My new favorite summer shirt, and I want to make a million of them now!  Id love to have a shirt making party with some friends!  Im going to try Jill's bleach method next on a black shirt!

Moorea Seal has made me fall madly in love with these earrings of hers!  I love the 3D look.  They are so modern but still feel so feminine.  Simple perfection! ...And I used one of my favorite O Bella Organics headwraps as a belt with this outfit... LOVE.  Such a versatile little piece.  This one is the plum colored one.

I am still in my highly inspired spring mode.  Behind the scenes Ive been working on alot.  I have a super rad collaborative project in the works, Im still busting out new pretties for Ruche and Threadsence, Ive made some adorable dreamcatchers going to good homes (and want to make more for the shop soon), I made some new things yesterday that just make me want to squeal, and have two new styling invitations that Im very thrilled about coming soon.  This is why I love spring.  Although I tend to get so into what Im doing I can miss out on the fun life outdoors.  Which means if the project will be okay outside, then I need to take it on my porch to work on it!  

Other exciting news is that James wants to start going to yoga!  So we are planning on going to my alltime favorite evening classes by my oh so adored yoga teacher.  Ive had to miss about 7 weeks of yoga class now since we only have one car.  Im so thrilled he is finding interest in it.  Ive always wanted to do yoga together, I hope it really happens.

Time to go get busy, and listen to some good tunes and daydream while I do.

Threads - Black & Brown >>>

Last night we went out with some friends to first friday.  Its been a few years since Ive been.  We saw some interesting art.  I have to admit, Im a bit of an art snob, so it takes alot to really get me excited...  Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.  Then we walked the streets with lots of other random strangers and enjoyed the sights and the little pit stops of people playing music and selling their wears out of the front yards.  In the middle of this big group of people selling your typical street art things, there was a beauty of a girl selling very lovely vintage finds.  I was impressed with the style of things she had found.  Although as badly as I wanted to, I could not buy anything... (we are in a bit of a financial downtime right now due to taxes).  But we had a great time with my bestie and her twin.  Im so glad we went. 

My outfit last night was probably one of the most 'me' feeling outfits Ive ever put together.  I dont wear black very often at all b/c of my two adorable fluffy white babies.  They get hair all over everything.  But some things are just a must have, like this black hi low maxi skirt.  I just have to carry a lint roller in my purse, ha ha!

Threads - Orange Blossoms >>>

Im excited to say that my hubby will be helping me out with many of my outfit posts from now on!  When we were dating we used to do this alot, but over the last few years its dwindled down to just about never.  It will take some getting used to, Im not as comfortable in front of the camera if there is an actual person behind the lens, ha ha, Im so used to just me and my self timer.  So hopefully over time, Ill be more relaxed in front of the camera, and James will be more relaxed behind the camera.  Well ease into it together.  Its something Ive been wanting to do for a long long time, but weve just never quite made it happen.  So, when we go on our daily post office runs, well find fun places around bandera to shoot our photos.  I of course picked my absolute favorite place for the first ones, and Im sure youll be seeing this spot alot.  I just utterly adore these walls. 
This was kind of a very casual/ sort of nice outfit.  I love how one pretty flowy top can transform a jeans and tanktop outfit.

Threads - Ikat + Fedora >>>

The other day I really wanted to wear this skirt from Kayemkay, which I have been saving for a special night out. Why? I dont know, I guess when I get a special piece of clothing I tend to hoard it for that just right moment. Well, I got tired of waiting, and decided to just dress it down into a super comfy outfit for the day. Im so glad I got it out of my head that this skirt needed to be for a dress up outfit b/c it worked so well casual. The material is s very soft microsuede, so it feels so luxurious, I think that is what threw me off for casual wear. I love love love that it has pockets! And is the pattern/color not the most perfect combo ever??? Ahhhh, love. You can find this same skirt in her shop here. 

This adorable tee was sent to me from my dear friend Katelyn just b/c she said it reminded her of me!  She was so perfectly right on!  Ive worn it so many times since I got it just shy of two weeks ago.  Thank you Katelyn!!!  Ive been finding any excuse to wear these Blowfish sandals.  LOVE them.  Ridiculously comfy for being so darn cute!  Oh, and how do you like my one little patch of flowers below?  I made James mow around them b/c its the only color I have out there until I get some plants.
