Teddy Bear Love

 For christmas my sweet boy got me this adorable teddy bear hat from talk2thetrees that I have been wanting for a long time...  I love it soooo.. I wore it the other day with one of my teddy bear shirts!  Perfection.  And yes I had to take a 'grrr' photo like she did in the listing!

And of course Violet had to give it a try too!  I dont think she liked it as much as her mommy did :)

Today my heart is heavy.  I feel like an avalanche of emotions may just come barreling down my way at any moment.  Im not sure why, I guess it just happens from time to time.  Some days are just like that.  Maybe Ive been listening to too much Ray LaMontagne... but I just cant stop!  Hopefully Ill sleep good tonite and have a brighter day tomorrow.  Today I wish I could hug my mom.

Makeup Makeover

Yesterday a friend of mine came over to do a little 'makeup makeover' with her beauty products she sells.  She needed another face to use and I was willing!  I love getting pampered with tons of special stuff I cant really afford to buy, so I was excited... and I got to spend time with an old friend I havent seen in a while!  Double plus!

After I had my makeup, I had to get dressed and do a little photoshoot.  I just felt so girly. 

What I Wore:

pretty socks from Target
combat boots handed down from a friend (they were my favorites in high school)

And I tied my hair up with yarn just like in Emma's hair tutorial over on A Beautiful Mess!

Sometimes its fun to have an excuse to dress up & play girly for no reason at all!  Thanks La La for doing my makeup!

Todays Threads: Mothers Handmade Tent Dress

Two days ago James and I took one last mini shopping adventure into the city for some last minute items.  It ended up being a long trip, b/c we bought a cd at the mall, only to realize when we were a good ways down the road that the cd was not in the case!  We had to turn around and go back, and sort of be looked at like we were thieves.  I was mostly bummed b/c I really wanted to listen to the cd.  It was Bayside's gold edition with extra acoustic songs I havent heard.  Bummed.

But we got lots of fun things for someone special in our family!  That was a plus!  And I wore one of my all time favorite articles of clothing.  This adorable floral tent dress.  My mom made it when she was younger.  Probably younger than me.  Im assuming she made it when she was pregnant with my brother.  I adore this dress to pieces and Im so glad she kept it.  I will keep it for my daughter too!

I love it when Bella comes on the porch with me while doing outfit posts.  Its like a little ritual before we go out the door.  She is so amazingly beautiful, its kind of hard to get over, even after all these years.
