Sock Monkey Wrist Warmers

I finally deemed it cold enough to do an official photoshoot for these amazing wrist warmers that I got from Sheepish Knit Crochet.  They are sock monkey pattern!!!  Ive actually worn them several times way before it was really cold enough outside.  I just had to share the love of these babies, so completely wonderful!  And the girl who makes them is super sweet and local to me (in texas).  I love them in the dark brown too.  And she is having a 15% off sale this week, now is the time to buy!

Also, since I post the 'how to layer your patchwork folk top' post the other day, I had a customer suggest I do more of these post to show the different ways you can wear your items from us!  I love this idea.  So this post is also about that too.  Here is another way to wear the Skyline Fever baseball shirt.  It is thin enough to layer all you want.  And since it is 3/4 sleeve, I was able to show off my arm warmers with it!  And I was dying to wear my new red cons that I found at Goodwill for $4!!!  Can you say score?  They were brand new with the store tags still tying them together, and my size!

The whole outfit:
Skyline Fever baseball tee
thrifted green cardigan $2
hand-me-down belt from my bestie *free*
skinny jeans - Ross
thrifted cons $4

So, with one nice handmade tee as the staple, you can accessorize it for cheap by thrifting!

Check out this past post to see another way I wore this baseball shirt!

Layering your Patchwork Folk top

I snapped a few pictures with the boy's phone the other day on our way out to dinner at a friends house.  I wanted to show you that you can layer your PATCHWORK FOLK tops over thermals for when its cold.  They dont have to just be a spring item.  Always keep that in mind while shopping for tanks and such, you can always layer!  Here is one still for sale in my shop to show you what kind of shirt Im talking about.  *sorry, photos aren't great, I could only get so much holding a phone*

With my patchwork folk top, I wore, a striped thermal, super wide leg jeans, and vintage suede wedges. oh, and pigtails :)

The past few days have consisted of nothing but working.  But that is a good thing!  Last night a huge front blew in, craziest wind Ive heard in a long time!  Now its is super chilly outside, but still nice and sunny.

What is the weather like where you live right now?

PEACE,
Laura

Vintage Scarf Layering Tank

The day I got my sewing bug back last week, I started making these vintage scarf layering tanks.  This is the one I kept for myself, which again, rarely happens, but I was just too much in love with it, and it will go with so many different things in my wardrobe.  The wonderful thing about these tanks is that they are meant for layering, so you can mix and match them with just about anything!  There are two for sale in the shop, just put them up last night!

Plus there is a ton of new stuff in Skyline Fever's shop (my husband's shop).  And more coming!  We now have small - x large in most things.  If you dont see a size you need, please just convo us to see if we have it in stock.

How I styled my vintage scarf layering tank:
Nude colored loose dress from Ruche
leggings from Goodwill (target new with tags) score!
vintage leather wedge shoes
vintage owl necklace
fabric wrapped chunky bangle
up-do messy bun

My head has been in all sorts of clouds the last 2 days.  Full of daydreaming about things that are just out of my reach.  This would require a whole post, so Ill talk more on it later, but for now, I just cant stop the motion in my brain.  I think its time to put myself to serious work again today to keep me on track, otherwise I would probably just sit and stare at the wall daydreaming.

PEACE,
Laura

Magnolia Pearl

Lately I have been finding myself dressing up for the day, just because.  Its cold outside, and its fun to layer up.  And after recently cleaning out my closet, I have done away with things that just sit there, so now I can utilize my staples in lots of different ways... Im pretty much in love with leggings, I wore these 3 days in a row, shhhh.....

Here I wore:
A beautiful Magnolia Pearl crochet lace top (it was my mothers)
cotton black drape front sweater
Skyline Fever bird tunic
leggings
recycled sweater legwarmers
plaid booties
feather earrings made by my friend Renea

Today I get to go hug my Nanna's neck, she has been in Australia for almost 3 weeks!  And go grocery shopping at Whole Foods, and then a dinner with some good friends that we havent seen in entirely too long!

What are your plans for today?

PEACE,
Laura
