Life. Daydreaming. Pretties. Plans.

I cannot believe that yet another month is almost come and gone again.  Everyday for the past month I have spent most likely half of those hours daydreaming about our house.  I got tired of waiting for my tax guy, and was recommended by a friend to just do them myself, at least to get a rough estimate number for a pre-approval, since you dont need the real deal for that part.  I have been checking my email just about every hour this week!  So now, the numbers are out there and it is in the hands of math to let us know if we can even be pre-approved for this little dream home.  The sad part is, for a self employed person, they average your last two years income... and last year, I was just starting my business and had to buy alot of supplies to get started, so my income was almost 0.  Not even joking!  So, even though I did well this year, on paper it will look like I did half of what I really did!  Im so worried this is what is going to keep us from getting it.  Sucks so bad to know that I am such a hard worker and have the success to prove it, but in the end, the math is what matters.

Aside from the house news... Im so glad spring is starting to happen.  It doesnt look like it yet, but it is starting to feel like it.  I was able to wear a tshirt, skirt and legwarmers the other day and it was delightful!  I love the versatility of my hubby's stylish tee's...  this birdie one is a long tunic and I love wearing it over leggings, but it looks great tucked in a skirt too!  And Im quite obsessed with my striped Mountain Girl Clothing leg warmers.  That girl makes my legs very very happy!

I added a few more goodies to the shop this morning.  This style of earrings Ive had in my shop forever, but made them in a few more color schemes.  Love them!  I love the color combo of the new locket, and the Henna Hand necklace is just gorgeous!!!

And are these not the cutest little nesting dolls ever???  There is a dark blue one too.  They are wooden and look just like a real little Matryoshka doll!  Love...

So far Ive got almost everything priced for the garage sale this weekend.  Still have some things to go through yet.  We have bags and piles all over the house!  Cant wait to get it all out of here.  It feels really good to be cleaning out also.  There is a letting go that must take place when getting rid of stuff.

I have a long to do list of work related stuff still to do in the next day or so.  And in the middle of it all, Im determined to stay on top of my working out and eating right.  Today I made myself veggie pasta salad that I can munch on for a few days, it was soooo yummy!  And now that it is made, I wont have an excuse when I dont feel like taking the extra time to cook.  That is my biggest problem.  I get overwhelmed with what I am doing during the day, that I eat whatever is quick and easy.  It is time to change that!

Since it is getting close to the end of the month, I will be having a few guest posts from my awesome sponsors!!!  Go check them all out, they wouldnt be there if I didnt love them.  I think I wont have any for this next month, so I dont overload myself.  And I know I said I wasnt going to, but I just may have some paid sponsor spots starting in April.  So if you think you would like to be on the list send me a message!

PEACE,
Laura

Weekend Photos

This weekend was jammed packed with friends and bbq's!  James and I were so tired today, but it was so good to see everyone.  I spent the day tagging items for our garage sale this coming weekend.  I got to dress up alot this weekend which was exciting after being in pjs so much lately!

My bestie's twin came home from California for a visit.  It was so good to see her, she was actually my best friend in junior high/early high school.  And through the years of going different directions, the universe has pulled me and her twin together as besties!  So funny.

To their bbq I wore my mommies leather sandals, leggings, my Skyline Fever teepee dress layering with a vintage scarf layering tank and this cuff bracelet.  And I curled my hair two days in a row!  Which hasnt happened in forever...

Here is a pic of my girl, that her little 1 year old took (with my assistance)... She is the prettiest girl in the world, in my own opinion.  I have lots of pics of everyone else but I dont want to post them on my blog since Im not sure who would mind...

me and xavier, my besties son have been bonding alot lately.  im absolutely smitten with him.
It was really cute to see him look at his mom and her twin sister together for the first time, he kept calling them both momma!

The night before, we had a girls night out at the bar here in town.  It was alot of fun and much needed.
dont mind the look on shelleys face, she was not drunk, ha ha...

Feels like the weekend....

This week has quickly gone from work work work to play play play.  Two of our friends that live in California decided to come home for a visit on the same weekend.  So last night and the next two nights we have plans and friend fun going on.  Yesterday we drove Christie to see the house we dream of buying.  Then last night I went out with my bestie and her twin sister to a local bar and watched some music.  It was a very much needed night out with just the girls and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.  I feel a bit like crap right now, but it will wear off.  Im not used to drinking really at all anymore, so even a few drinks will now give me a headache the next day, I feel so old :)  But it was super fun and since it doesnt happen often at all, it was even more meaningful time spent with my girls.  This seriously feels like the first "weekend" ive had in forever!!!!

One another note, James has some really cute new styles he is working on.  I have already stolen 3 new tops!  This style is my absolute favorite.  Last night I wore one in plum with flowers but it was too dark to take pics...and it was just about the cutest outfit ive worn all year too!  oh well :)  But this style is flowy and loose, so good for layering with anything, its longer in the back so it covers your bum so you can wear it with leggings.  Im seriously in love.  We got them in brown too and I cant wait for him to pick which design will go on them.  We have lots of pics to take before we can put them up in the shop!

This day I wore it with a thin baseball tee, denim cut offs, floral leggings, striped Mountain Girl Clothing leg warmers, fabric leaf necklace by Katelyn Demidow, and of course, my green cons.

The other day I downloaded a goal planning workbook for this year, and I decided to keep it in my Style School notebook from last year from Elsie's class.  I love my notebook so much, it needed more excuses to be used.  I have tons of big and little goals all written out, so now I have something to look back to often for reference to keep me motivated and on course with making them come true!

On to another eventful day!

A Night Out...

Since I knew we were going out with James parents last night, I had the perfect excuse to dress up a bit.  I have seriously been living in pjs for almost 2 weeks straight now.  Almost to the point of disgust, so it felt sooooo good to get cute.

James had just screenprinted these new beautiful tank tops, and I had also just received my trade from Mountain Girl Clothing, these amazing leg warmers (she has one more pair left!!!)... so I knew I wanted to wear those two things.  Oh, and my new guitar and harmonica necklace, which will go into the shop if I can part with it.  James already dibbed the other harmonica and has been playing it for the past two days.  Which has been so worth giving it up b/c its just about the cutest thing ever.  I told him he could only have it on the condition that he lets me take a video of him playing it!  So one day I will sneak it up on here :)

I absolutely could not get over the lovlieness of this tiny floral print next to this big bold native american print.  soooooooo perfect!

We drove downtown with his parents to eat at Schilo's a german joint.  I had a keilbasa sausage dog with kraut and a root beer!  a must have when you go to a place like that.  Even though I dont drink soda.  The we walked the riverwalk a bit, and popped into The Rainforest Cafe and ordered drinks just so we could walk around and look at it!  It was crazy in there!  None of us had ever been.  All of the animals came to life, and it even got dark and sounded like a rainy thunderstorm while we were in there, very cool!  The aquarium next to our table had this cute little bug eyed fish that just sat there looking at us the whole time.  He was so cute!  James wanted to bring him home.

It was a lovely escape from the crazyness of this week.  So good to spend time with his parents.  Im so glad we were able to do that.  Now, this morning, I have a coffee date and back to work work work.  Fingers are crossed that I get my tax numbers back today to continue the house process!

PEACE,
Laura
