Wishing I could sleep the day away >>>

The other morning I woke up and discovered Bella sprawled out on the couch.  She normally sleeps on a pillow next to my bed.  I think she realized how cozy it looked with all the blankets left a mess on it.  She stayed there all day long.  It was quite cute.  I think she was just soooo comfy she didnt want to move.  I understand why too... I actually slept there last night.  I woke up in the middle of the night with awful girls pains and didnt want to get back in bed.  I sat on the couch for a bit, and then it was time for James to get up for work (4 am)... so I just fell asleep there while he got ready for work.  He brought me pillows, my binky (yes i sleep with a binky) and my teddy bear (yes i sleep with a teddy bear, 3 to be exact).  And Bella slept by my side the whole night.  I actually slept so good and deep on the couch!  I just might sneak out there from time to time, ha ha!
Saturday we went to James brothers baby shower.  It was a nice time full of their family and friends.  We saw people we hadnt seen in years!  I havent uploaded my photos from it yet, just my camera pics of what I wore.  And the cute little outfits below that we gave them.  Along with a few other little things.  I love baby clothes shopping.  I have a feeling Im going to have to be held in restraints when we have a kid...  As much as I love clothes, itty bitty tiny ones are just even cuter!  And Im just as picky with baby clothes as I am my own.  I hate the typical clothes with Winnie the Pooh or cheesy sayings on them.  I just dont think I could even put them on my kid... (just my personal whacky thing - no offense to those of you who do).  I cant wait to make baby Skyline Fever clothes!!!  How cute is that going to be???

I snagged some pics of James screenprinting the other day.  He is so darn cute.  He made two new batches of shirts that will be in the shop soon.

Im not feeling that great at all today.  It will most likely take me the next 4 hours to get out my few packages... Im moving slowly....

Daily Outfit >>> Jimi Hendrix

It is raining outside.  Im listening to First Aid Kit.  Bella is sitting next to me.  It is peaceful.  Today I wore my daddies Jimi Hendrix tshirt.  I cut it up a bit to be a bit more girly.  He wore this shirt all the time when he was going out.  I always thought it was cute, it was his idea of a nice shirt.  And gosh he looked handsome in gray shades with his salt and pepper hair.  I told him how good he looked everytime he wore this shirt, maybe that is why he wore it so much.  I miss him everyday.  It is the oddest feeling in the world to walk this journey with no parents by my side.  Everything I do I want to call them and show them.  There are so many exciting things happening in my life right now, I just want to jump up and down and talk ninety miles an hour to my mom.  And hear my dad say 'alright kiddo'!  Anyways... Im glad I have his shirt.  It made me smile today wearing it.

I have also been swimming in beads!  Im working on new things like crazy.  I have so much to list.  I havent posted the new stuff on here yet, but I have been adding new things to the Roots and Feathers shop.  And there are a few cute ones coming to Violet Bella soon too.  I have a bunch of new feather in a bottle necklaces in the works that you can see below.  And the pic of me below is me working in my studio :)

I snapped the cutest photo ever of Bella last night!  Is she not precious?  She follows me EVERYWHERE.  I mean everywhere.  She is such a mommas girl, its almost ridiculous at times.  But I do love it.  Id much rather a cat with her butt in my face all the time, than a kitty who didnt like snuggles and love!  We had peas with dinner last night which made her a happy little girl.  She LOVES peas.  We dont really feed our animals people food, just tiny little hints here and there.  Bella loves peas and corn, her favorites!  She got two peas :)

Tomorrow is the last day to enter all 3 giveaways going on right now!  See the right side bar under 'current giveaways' to visit them all if you have not already!  Ill announce the winners at the beginning of October.

 PEACE,
Laura

Turning an errand run into a mini date...

The other day we had to run some errands so we ran to K-town. While we were there we stopped in our favorite little coffee shop and two thrift stores along the way. I found the two yummy rugs below for cheap cheap at the craft store as well! I was super excited. Bella loves the green one. I was so happy it was just chill enough to wear my favorite little flannel. Here are just a few fun photos I took along the way.

A day with my nanna...

A few days ago my Nanna & her beau & his daughter came over for a visit. I always love when they come up, its like a special treat. We sat around and talked and then went to James parents restaurant to eat lunch. I played the jukebox for Jame's daddy and we all had a beer (except James, he doesnt drink). James and I both ate grilled cheese with french fries and homeade gravy!!! Yum!! I told Jame's mom she could burn it a little b/c my mom always burnt them. She did one side burned and one side not, and later told me it was from both of my mommas!! I thought that was the sweetest thing ever. And I wore my super cute shirt gifted to me from Leah of Sookie Says, along with my necklace from Katelyn of Scrufmeisterk. I think they look precious together. And I paired two of my glass flower rings from my Violet Bella shop together and I love how they look that way.

I think my nanna is soooo beautiful.  She is one of my very best friends, and biggest joys in this world.  She has taken over the momma role since my mom has been gone.  She is a very good listener, says the funniest things, is so gentle and loving, an excellent gardener, pretty much the best grandmother I ever could have been blessed with.  And her ears turn red when she is mad or embarrassed so she cant hide it!

Just to clarify on my sneak peek post of my new jewelry studio space.  There are better pictures coming later, it was suppose to be just tid bits... I didnt want to post pics that you could really see everything in until I get the real photos done.  And Im pretty much done with the room as of this morning.  It looks amazing.  When I get time I will photograph everything and post on the blog.

PEACE,
Laura
