Threads - Leather & Stripes >>>

Thanks for your loving and understanding comments on my last post.  Its nice to know sometimes we are all in this life together, healing and learning from each other.  My girls night out last night was just what I needed.  I had such a good time chatting with my bestie, and even some old friends we ran into.  In our small town, its kind of hard to go into a bar and not see people you knew from high school, although this time I was super happy we did!  I think it was just what the doctor ordered for both Shelley and I. I love having other women in my life who compliment me instead of compete with me.  We have our own issues and faults, but we support each other, lift each other up, and are there for each other when times are tough.  We feel safe in each others presence, to be honest and real and raw... and silly and dorky at the same time.  Shelley is a golden apple in my eye.  And one of the most beautiful women I have ever met in my life.

Here is a short and sweet outfit post.  (not what i wore last night, i didnt get any pics yesterday)

Threads - Sheer Layers >>>

Hello little blog. My internet has been practically down the past two days. Its finally picking itself back up a bit today.  The weather has been off and on rainy, so Im guessing that is why.  I already feel like Im days behind on blog posts... but that is just okay.  One day at a time from here.  Two nights ago I went with my friend Staci to see Magnolia Pearl's fashion show.  Needless to say, it blew my mind.  Ill post pics later.  It was like a wonderland for the imagination.  I had a great night out with my friend, a little bit of thrifting, great talks, a bit of wine (okay, I had 3 glasses... which is alot for me), oh and fancy chocolate at the show!  Good good night, one to remember for sure.  I had alot of fun getting dressed up for the day too.  Although I ended up wearing a magnolia pearl shawl instead of this sweater, which was just as cute.

Threads - A Hint of Roses >>>

Yesterday I wore one of the dresses my mom made when she was younger than me. One of my alltime favorite pieces in my whole closet.  The floral pattern is just so precious mixed with the black.  I layered with this lovely grey mesh sweater top from Modcloth, some leggings, and you know, my favorite new Blowfish sandals, the Sea Dreams.  I also wore two rings gifted by two very dear girls in my life, Julie & Hillary.  And one of my Roots and Feathers necklaces.  This was such a comfy outfit and still felt a little dressed up to go out for the day in.  My favorite mix.

That beautiful brown velvet ring, opens up to a hidden solid perfume compartment!  Is that not freakin amazing???

PEACE,
Laura

Threads - Comfort Days >>>

Some days are just meant for jeans and a tee.  All day Ive felt like my sickies are trying to come back.  So after I got done with my massive packaging affair, I took a shower and decided to get dressed for the day to maybe feel a bit better.  Im not lay-on-the-couch sick... just that feeling of my body desperately trying all week to get sick.  You know, the pre-sickies.  So, days like these, I go for my favorite broke in jeans and a comfy loose tee.  Since its still a bit chilly out from our cold front, Im wearing this adorable cable knit newsboy hat from Three Bird Nest.  You can find one just like it here.  Her shop is full of other cuties worth checking out too!

Time for another emergen-c and some hot tea.  And since the sun has shown its beautiful face today, maybe some time sitting beneath her.

PEACE,
Laura
