Lady Bird Meadow - Wildflower Farm >>>

Here are some of the photos we took at the Wildflower Farm the other day.  I cant wait to plant the seeds we brought home.  It sort of seemed like a dreamland.  I want to plant a whole field of the ones in the second picture.  We cant wait to go back and take Violet to get her picture in the flowers!  We really enjoyed just walking around and taking in all the beauty around us.  Id love to go on a day when no one else is there, if there is such a day...  and just spend the whole day taking photos and sitting in awe. 

This little black kitty was sleeping amongst the flowers for sale!  He was so sweet!  Such a wonderful surprise.  

Like James shirt??  I got it for his from Kin Ship Press on etsy.  They have a girls version too!  Im pretty much in love with their shop and have a wishlist in my head.  It looks like they are currently sold out of alot, or no longer make some, but they have a moon shirt Im in love with.

Dear Sabe, We Love You >>>

Im very sad to say that we lost our sweet Sabe yesterday around 10 in the morning.  After talking to the doctors the night before we were a bit prepared to possibly have to make the decision to take him off the ventilator and let him go.  During the night one of his lungs collapsed.  We think he mentally decided to go before he even made it into the ICU.  Its been a very hard 2 weeks for all of our family, and must of been insanely hard for Sabe.  My nanna and him were married for only 2 years, and it just seems soooo unfair that he had to be pulled away from her so soon.  It was probably the best 2 years of her whole life.  He treated her like she has always deserved to be treated, he adored her.  And she him.  This whole event has just been terribly heartbreaking.  Watching this big strong man wither before our eyes was so hard.  Alot like when my mom was sick.  Its amazing how fast our bodies change once it decides its going to leave us.  Even though it was hard, Im so glad we were all able to be with him, by his side through it all.  Even though he couldnt respond, Im sure he knew we were there.  He left this world with loving hands on him, just like my momma did.  One thing I was wishing so badly this week that my daddy could of felt... but then I was reminded what a private man my dad was, and he probably would of hated people standing over him if he was sick.  I know this.  We will miss this beautiful soul we lost so very much.  I was reminded once again what an amazingly strong woman my Nanna is, and what a caring soul she has.  Watching her hold his hand and talk to him was another one of the most bittersweet moments Ive ever experienced.  She is the ultimate nurturer.  I look up to my Nanna in the biggest way.  I pray she feels the love of this family and finds peace in her heart once again.  I am so blessed to be a part of such a loving family.

Christmas Moments >>>

 These are just some random photos of christmas taken from my phone.  Of course, I brought my real camera and did not use it at all.  All of the pics I took of the family opening gifts and such came out blurry, boo.  And James and I decided to do ours unexpectedly so I didnt take pics like I usually do.  Ah well, I at least enjoyed the moment!  Bella of course joined us in the unwrapping :)  And I always love James little notes he puts on my packages, so adorable.

These below were all at my Nanna's house, where we gather every year as a family.  The only two people I got clear pics of were my cousin Emily and my nephew Aiden, being silly sitting in a plastic bucket.  He had more fun with the empty bucket then he did the lincoln logs inside the bucket!  So so precious.

 My sweet nephew Aiden was the biggest highlight of my christmas.  I love him so much.

Scrabble Wars >>>

We finally broke out the scrabble board in our new house for the first time the other night.  I cant believe it took us this long, but now its on!  We take our scrabble playing very serious in this house!  My cousin bought us this portable board a few years ago and its just about one of the best gifts Ive ever received.  For our first game in the house, James won!  He is so cute when he wins (which by the way this was only the 2nd time he has won - muah ha ha!!! - sorry babe, had to rub it in)  He does a little dance, and doesnt stop grinning the whole night long.  He sings songs about being the scrabble king.  He is adorably victorious.  But let me tell you, when he loses, he is a soar loser.  He is all mopey, its so funny!  So we duked it out the next night, and I won.  It was an intense game too!  *If you are to play scrabble on a cold winter night - hot chocolate is a must*

Bella always plays with us.  She went from being the score keeper to trying to play herself :)

Here it is James, for the record, you beat me by one point!!!
