These pieces of home features are by far some of my favorites. Home is such a dear place to me, and I'm so happy I have all of these photos of it to one day give to my children. I love looking back at my parents old homes and seeing where they came from.

My friend Katelyn came and left so fast! They got here tuesday evening. Just enough time to have dinner and chat a bit before going to bed. Then they left wednesday around noon so they could get home by nightime. I think it was the shortest I've seen her at one time and it felt like a tease! But none the less, it was so good to spend a bit of face to face with her and her family. She brought me some very special gifts, and we got to talk a bit more in depth about what is going on in our hearts. Although I have a feeling those convos could of gone on for days.

We are all working on the next KV Moon Phase Report, as this full moon is a wild one! Full of energy. I'm excited for some of the things these wonderful girls will be bringing to the table this time around.

We got our big shipment of shirts in for the new spring line for Skyline Fever this week! Yesterday I laid everything out and decided which designs are going on which shirts. We will be releasing 5 or 6 brand new designs in this line! As well as bad ass new styles. I can't wait for it to all manifest. It may very well be several weeks out though.

I'm also working on putting together two different mini lookbooks for The Bohemian Collective, as well as one for Roots and Feathers. ALOT of stuff is going on in the background over here.

And um.... I still need to do my taxes! Holy crap. That has to happen in the next few days. There needs to be way more hours in a day. I'm tellin' ya.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in my spring sale! It was a great success and so so needed on my end financially. Thank you for the blessing. Today will be filled up with making and packaging orders!

On a more personal note... my heart is filled with love and ache for two dear friends who are in the midst of suffering great losses. If you could just take a moment and send out some love to them, and anyone else in the world who is going through the stages of losing someone. From personal experience I know it is the hardest thing in the world to go through. I hate that we all have to experience it in some way during this lifetime.

It feels like its been oh so long since Ive shared my Pieces of Home series. I actually have about 50 images already to share, but I'm going to break them up into pairs of 10, so look forward to many more. You will notice on the bottom of the left sidebar, I have created Blog Topics. I am slowly working on updating this list. (It will take a lifetime to go through my whole blog) Since moving over to the new platform, I have to go in and re-tag each post to fit the appropriate category. But when Im done, it will be super nice for you to be able to browse by section if you want, instead of sifting through the whole blog to find a particular post! Yay!

Yesterday I made myself a batch of cookies, made myself a yummy dinner, and re-watched The Shift by Wayne Dyer. It was just the reminder I needed. I realized the reason Ive been allowing people to affect me and hurt me lately is because I have been operating out of a place of ego. A place of possession. It was nice to have a reminder of that, and give me back my perspective on things. Its so easy to get wrapped up in our little worlds and lose sight of what is really important. And this fear/anger place I was coming from this past week is not where its at. I am done allowing people to take away my personal energy b/c they themselves cannot be themselves. It is their journey to walk, and I hope one day they truly find themselves.

Today I am focusing on shipping orders and working on taxes. Exciting, right?

PIECES OF HOME // WINTER SOLSTICE

A little recap of the past few days. The night before 12.21.12 I went out on a date with my bestie to the wine bar. We had a nice time and chatted alot about food (she is pregnant). Ha ha. She also gave me that batch of goodness above! Some whiskey, stones, chocolate and soap... the girl knows me well. Then I came home and gave Bella pillow rides.

On 12.21.12, James and I went to a friends house out in tarpley for a winter solstice gathering. I brought with me an earth offering for exchange, along with said whiskey from above. And I wore my cowboy boots that were gifted to me for the first time! You cant tell from the photo, but they are old and worn, and the bottom part is snakeskin. I love it, the skin is all peeling off. I have lived in the cowboy capital of the world all my life, and have never worn cowboy boots (minus a short period when I was about 8). But these ones, I can get into! I probably never would of tried them without them being gifted to me.

The gathering was wonderful. Her home was filled with beautiful, warm souls. Soon after we got there, we all went outside, were smuged and blessed, and gathered around her medicine wheel with instruments in hand, and had a shaman led ceremony honoring the earth and the winter solstice, filled with singing, drumming, and learning. It was beautiful. The half moon was out and you could see every star in the sky out there. Then we all went in and enjoyed food, drinks and anonymous gift exchanges. I got plant seeds!!! They came directly from the persons garden, Im super excited.

The next day, on 12.22.12, I was completely wiped out. I napped almost all day long, and so did violet, as you can see. We spent most of the day in bed together. I managed to get up for a little while and make some batches of homeade bath salts. Then straight back to bed.

Yesterday morning, I went to yoga class in kerrville with my friend, and got to listen to my instructor talk about the world and our mind body connections to spirit. It was beautiful and right in line with my most inner thoughts. He usually is...
