EASTER

Laura via Roots & Feathers

The past 3 Easter's we have spent the day with James folks going to Fredricksburg to walk around the shops, eat lunch and go to the Wildseed Farm and/or Luckenbach to listen to music.  Its kind of become a little tradition and I love it.  The day before we got together with my family and had dinner, so it was so nice to visit with both sides of our family over the weekend.

I love walls filled with Ivy.  James and I want to do something like this on part of our house, we both love it.

We also visit this place each year that has tons of iron yard art, planters and other miscellaneous things... I love just walking around oooing and ahhhing over everything.  And so far each year, we have taken photos in front of this tree and fence with honeysuckle that you see below.  We even parked in the same spot, ha ha!

The wildseed farm has very little flowers this year compared to last.  We are assuming b/c of the drought.  It was kind of sad seeing what one year difference can make with no rain.  We need some rain so bad.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

A MOMENT OF COMFORT

Just a simple moment of comfort.  Fresh out of the shower, snuggled up in an uber cozy sweater.  Sometimes things as simple as this are worthy of our attention.

I am happy to report my sweet little friend Isabel is doing wonderful after her surgery.  She is recovering great and is such a trooper.  My time in Dallas felt so short after waiting for it for months to arrive.  I'm so happy everything went okay.

Since we have been home we have been busy making our pre-order shirts, catching up on orders & emails, and trying to squeeze in a bit of normal life in between.

Today I am so very grateful for the very real things in life... friendships that are unconditional, hope in desperate situations, and the breath of life.  xo.

Exhausted

Scenes from the past week... What a whirlwind life has been lately.  I have found myself overwhelmed and exhausted more often than not lately.  But, I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and trying my hardest to stay in the positive about it all.  So many trials and lessons, and the big scheme of things, matter so little.  For the most part above are images of little moments that made me smile, along with a few snaps of my raw moments.
