IPHONE CASE BY CASEABLE

IMG_5989.png

The sweet folks at caseable gave me a chance to create my own custom iphone case using one of my own photos.  I chose my typography print I made with a Leonard Cohen quote on it, one of my all time favorites lines... "there is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in".

I'm absolutely in love with it.  Not only because it feel personal since it has my own photo on it, but the quality is excellent.  I love how thick and sturdy it is.  Ive had a few iphone cases that were thinner break on me before, so I know how important it is.  And the recycled materials that are used help to keep your case scratch free.

With caseable you can either upload your own photo to create different products like this, or laptop sleeves, macbook & kindle cases and more... or you can choose from their artist gallery.  Here are their best sellers

The best part about caseable is their commitment to being green.  They use recycled materials, have teamed up with a company to help collect and recycle electronic devices, and they collaborate with local artisans, further supporting the handmade community.

RELAX // EARTH OIL

IMG_1551.jpg

I wanted to share with you this massage oil I received from Earth Oils recently.  It is the yummiest massage oil I have ever used.  Massages are pretty much my favorite thing in the whole world.  I will never, ever pass up a massage.  When James asks me if I want a massage, he already knows the answer.  Which by the way, he gives some pretty amazing massages.  For a while I was using a lemon scented massage oil from Burt's Bees, but it was almost an overpowering smell.  So this oil I got was the perfect replacement for it, b/c it still has a citrus smell to it, but is much more subtle.  A very light feminine relaxing smell.  I also love that its not super greasy either.  Ive actually been using it as a lotion after I shave to keep my legs from being so dry.

One of my favorite things about it is that Ally has infused it with crystal healing elements of moonstone and amazonite, two stones I am particularly drawn to.  She also infuses them under the full moon, and gives them reiki energy.  This is what she has written about the healing properties of these two stones:

MOONSTONE || It is strongly connected to the moon and emotions. It is one of the best stones for calming the emotions. It has receptive, passive and feminine energy to calm emotional triggers and reactions to situations. It soothes instability, stress and acts as a stabilizer of the emotions. It draws out old emotional patterns and provides deep healing. It is especially useful for relaxing and can even promote lucid dreaming as well as restful sleep.

AMAZONITE || is an extremely calming stone and soothing stone. It calms the brain and nervous system and aligns the physical body with the etheric. Soothes emotional trauma, alleviating worry and fear. Excellent for relieving anxiety and an over thinking mind. Perfect stone to use for unwinding and relaxing.

Eventually I would love to try every one of her oils, and her new and full moon bath teas.  I am a bath girl.  Like, a serious bath girl.  So these are perfect!

Ally is also the designer behind Aquarian Soul.  This girl has won my heart with her jewelry and her healing herbals.  A beautiful combination.

TEA WITH HEART AND SOUL

106.JPG

A few weeks ago I had an ayurvedic tea consultation with Lindsay Holt of Whole Body Alchemy.   I honestly had no idea how in depth this would be, and how truly rewarding.  After filling out a questionare, Lindsay sent me a 4 page evaluation of my particular dosha, along with several tips on self care, diet and lifestyle to bring it into balance.  My initial reaction to reading what she wrote, was the same way I relate to my personal astrology.  I felt a deep connection, as if I was truly reading something written specifically about me.  I have looked into Ayurveda several times in the past, but never went too deep into it.  This simple tea consultation has changed my enthusiasm about it full force.

Her word chosen for me was Stillness, which could not have been more perfect.  Over the past few months, I have had sign after sign telling me that I need to quiet myself, go within, and meditate more often.  My brain is always fleeting from thought to thought and project to project, and sometimes its hard to make myself feel grounded and come back down.  I felt the word was so in tune with all the messages I have been receiving recently.

Who doesn't like rosemary and sage?  Just a sweet little extra she sent me.    As well as the yummiest smelling soap below from her shop.

The tea itself could not of been a more perfect blend for my personal taste preferences.  It is literally, THE PERFECT TEA for me.  It consists of chamomile, lemongrass, tulsi, spearmint, orange peel, fennel, jasmine flowers and rose petals.  Its divine.  Tastes just as beautiful as it looks.  And the ritual she created to go along with the tea is simply beautiful, and so spiritually honoring.  I'm going to keep that part private, but if you get a consultation for yourself, I know you will love this part, whatever your ritual may be.  The wonderful thing is, the overall consultation is very affordable, and you can always get refills of just the tea when you run out!  Just check out the section on her site that says Tea Consultation for more info on how to get your own consultation.  It is so very worth it!  I feel like it has allowed me to connect with myself on a deeper level, which I always love.
