So much to say about this beautiful outfit... The pants, necklace and bracelet were originally for one of my Texas inspired lookbooks, but I just couldn't help but pair them with this outfit here instead.  So the necklace and bracelet are available in my shop now.  And this kimono.... it's like it was made for me... (Jess, I really do think you made this kimono and these pants JUST FOR ME).  This girl gets my style.  She makes everything in small batches as her fabric allows her, so if you see something you love, you better think quick.  She has had several kimonos and things I adored that sold out quicker than I was able to save up and get them.  (p.s. she also has a separate vintage shop on etsy too).

If you purchase a kimono from Frolic, you can get 20% off with the code ROOTSANDFEATHERS at checkout.

These are my FAVORITE bell bottoms from Iconoclasp.  This color is just about my favorite color in the world.  They are so comfortable, and have the perfect amount of bell to them.  She has these in so many different colors and can tailor them to your size.

I love this design from Skyline Fever, quite possibly my favorite so far.  (For those of you who don't know this is my husbands shop, and I draw the designs... its a team effort!)  I'm excited it is now available on a tank top.

If you LOVE this kimono, go enter this giveaway to win one!!!

Sometimes it is so much more fun to just go on the side of your house and take selfies with your phone than break out the tripod and big camera.  I love playing with different angles with my phone.  I'm waiting on the arrival of a mini tripod and remote for my phone and I can't wait to play with it!  It will be fun to have when we are out and about and I want to snap a pic of James and I somewhere that is not just our faces!

These photos were from yesterday.  Two day old makeup, which was basically just some leftover, half way there eye shadow and mascara... James said, let's go check the post office and maybe slip into a thrift store when I get home, so I ran to my closet and threw this on, and of course while I waited, played around in the yard with some selfies... By the time he got back and we went to town though most of the stores were closing, so we just took a little mini drive instead, which is just as good for me!  Just a quick 'get out of the house' for a bit for any reason is good for me.  This becomes a luxury when you work at home and have no car!

It's funny b/c it was almost 80 degrees yesterday and the day before, and some of the outfit posts I have still yet to share I'm bundled up in scarves and beanies!  And I'm sure, we will be there again before we know it.  Texas is so funny with its weather.  You never quite know what its gonna be like when you wake up during these in between season times.

Stay tuned tomorrow for a big fun outfit shoot that includes a really rad giveaway from one of my FAVORITE designers!  And, today is the last day to enter the HANNAH CHLOE GIVEAWAY!

This is probably one of my alltime favorite outfits.  I admired this kimono for ages before finally getting it as a little treat for myself.  All that was left was XL and I don't even care, I love it so much.  I instantly fell in love with this tee shirt designed by Deer Jerk.  The image is just so beautiful.  And I loved the way the prints in these pants mixed with the kimono.  I just love mixing patterns...

This is what I wore on our little date to watch our friends from Lady Jane Grey play in Bandera.  Such a good night out.  It's hard to believe we went to 3 concerts already in february!  It's been wonderful to get out a bit!

Yesterday I rearranged my bedroom after daydreaming about it for 2 days.  I just had to stop what I was doing and do it!  I soooo happy I did.  When I go with those feelings when I have them, I get the best results.  I don't want to leave my bedroom now, ha!  I can't wait to get some good photos of it to share.

This was kind of a different outfit for me.  I really wanted to try out a faux fur vest, and it really does feel like your wrapping yourself up in a fuzzy blanket.  When the weather gets a little warmer I want to try it out with a little sundress.  I think that might tone it down a bit a feel a little more playful.  But this outfit was definitely warm for the cold days.  The jeans are lined with a soft fleece lining!  So they were super warm.

I will say it again though, I am so ready for spring!  So so ready.

I'll be back tomorrow with an awesome giveaway from an amazing artist!!!
