So, I may be changing my mind about dresses b/c this little number is just adorable!!!  Although just a warning, I don't think its meant to be a dress but more of a tunic.  I'm a short short shorty, so it fits me like a dress, but most of you girls out there might head caution that your little tush might hang out...

I'm kind of in love with this tibetan quartz necklace I made, so I'm going to keep it... but if anyone wants a custom order one just message me on etsy.  I have a few more of these crystals and most of them are even bigger than this one!  I love the black and brown leather together...

And I'm smitten with this Evidence arrowhead ring.  I can't even tell you how long I have admired Katie's work.  Just fyi, you might want to be following me over on instagram b/c there just may be a giveaway from her coming up soon over there...  

Both this ring and this beautiful cuff bracelet from Lindsay Lewis are going to be featured in an upcoming lookbook for The Bohemian Collective!  Which in case you missed it, a new lookbook went up on my birthday!  Many more to come throughout the upcoming weeks, so stay tuned over there.  Besides there are tons of really rad thought provoking posts that have been going up lately from all the other rad ladies who contribute there.  Its been good folks.  I couldn't be happier with my crew of women over there!  Just makes my heart flutter.

P.S.  did you see my friends in the background again???  Ha ha, they are just always hanging out now.  I love them.  The other day they even brought two of their babies around us.  I couldn't believe it!

I'm so in love with these spirit animal tanks from Gypsan.  I think owl was the first animal that I recognized as a spirit animal.  After my great grandmother passed away I was given a necklace of hers that was a little vintage owl, and something about that necklace just spoke to me.  I wore it on every special occasion after that for a few years, and anytime I felt like I needed extra strength.  Then owl started showing up everywhere.  I'll never forget the day I found my father, I was wearing a shirt with an owl on it, and I knew it could not of been a silly coincidence.  I have a hard time wearing that shirt now, so I love that I have this new owl spirit shirt.  To some its just a shirt with an owl... but to me its so much more.

I'm kind of just in love with how this outfit came together.  All the colors and patterns just worked.  These shorts are from a few years ago and they are still just some of my favorites.  I mean... rust color, corduroy, and high waist, all in one?  Yes please!

And I can't stop wearing this Love & Leather necklace.  It's for an up coming shoot for the bohemian collective, but Ive worn it several times already before the shoot!  It is just soooo rad.  This whole collection of theirs is just divine.

In other news, we are working hard behind the scenes to get everyone their Dylan tees made!  This round of pre orders for the Dylan tee & the Janis tee end tonite!  Don't worry, there will be more going up, we just have to do them in batches b/c we can't keep them stocked in the shop!  If you want in on this round, go get yours today!

DATE NIGHT WITH MYSELF

I love it when I get to work with a brand who is truly making a difference in the world through their company.  I was recently contacted by the International Princess Project to share their Slumber Party campaign to promote awareness for sex trafficking in India.  They have given women who have been victims of the sex trade an opportunity to support themselves with better than fair wages, and to heal in body and spirit and to live in freedom through creating jobs for them making Punjammies out of Indian fabrics.  Some of these women have had to endure years of being slaved and mistreated.  Many of the women have been kidnapped or lured by empty promises of jobs, or even sold by their own families, some even being children.  It breaks my heart that this is even a reality for so many.  It is such a beautiful thing to have a company like this dedicated to creating new lives for these women and bring hope into themselves for a better future for them and their children and future generations.  I wish I could personally go over there and give the woman who made my pjs a big hug... but from my little corner of the world, I can share this message and this company with you, and through that more people can be reached and make a bigger impact. 

I don't talk alot on here about these things, but any kind of sexual abuse has always been something heavy on my heart.  It happens far too often, and the effects of it can linger for generations.  You can read more about the International Princess Project here.

I remember the first time I heard about Punjammies was from my friend Katelyn a few years ago and when she told me what they were all about I fell in love.

They teamed up with Prosperity Candles, a company who helps women from regions of conflict rebuild their lives, and LVX, a vegan nail polish company, to create a fun little slumber party.  My slumber party was a date night with myself (and obviously Bella)... 

I love date nights with myself.  They don't happen that often, but I really do enjoy them when they do happen.  I made myself a cozy little reading nook by the window, made a whiskey sour, enjoyed the aroma of the handmade candle, painted my nails, read my book and my birthchart, and hung out with bella.  It doesn't take much to make a good date night for me!

I think Bella enjoyed it too :)

My favorite thing about this outfit post, is that my deer friends are hanging out in the background!  They were just chompin on grass while I was taking pictures and talking to them.  I'm kind of just in love...

I wore this outfit on a date with my girlfriends a few weeks ago.  Everytime I put on a dress I realize how much a pants girl I really am.  I kind of feel out of my element in a dress.  But I do love them.  I can't tell you how many times though Ive put on a cute dress only to take it right off and put pants on.  I almost did that this night, but I'm glad I didn't b/c I ended up feeling girly and pretty that night, which is always fun. ;)

And omg, did I eat way too much that night!  Seriously, I had the worst stomach ache for the rest of the night b/c so much stuff was in my belly.  When I took my dress off I looked like I was 5 months pregnant.  I even sent a photo to my bestie that night of my belly, ha ha!  But that is for her eyes only...

It was a good and much needed night out.  Sometimes too much food and too much beer is a really good thing.  And of course chats with girls who make you laugh.  I even got to break out my mini tripod and phone self timer to use randomly with other people somewhere for the first time!!!  Woo hoo!
