Quite possibly the easiest place to fall in love with someone, by the fire side... Have you ever fallen for someone by the fireside???

What a strange week this has been. Between the death of little velvet and Robin Williams I have found myself pretty emotional, and thinking about my folks alot. The past few days I have found myself in moments of long silence, falling into sickness that I am trying super hard to nurse before it gets bad, and wanting to crawl back into bed alot. Which I did a few times...

You may notice some changes on the blog sidebar... I spent some down time yesterday playing around with it. I just got a burst of needing a fresh feel over there. I may change somethings still since it was a quick fix and very spur of the moment.

And yes, this post is a little all over the place, a good mirror for my brain at the moment.

Just some fun photos we took on our day off the other day. Ive always wanted to take some photos in front on this mural wall in Ingram. It was super hot and sunny that day, so we just did some quick ones with my phone. Id love to go do a real shoot there one day. There are about 15 different murals! Of course, my favorite one is with the deer and turkey, two of my companion animals.

This day was such a nice day. We need to make more of these kinds of days happen!

I'm going to be quick today b/c I have lots to do before getting to see my Nanna today! Yay!

p.s. yes, I keep bones, sticks and feathers in our car console. When we got our new car I told James I had dibs on this little space, and this is what I keep there. He gets made fun of by his co-workers for it, but at least he doesn't mind. :)

I honestly think this shirt was created just. for. me. When Kathrine from Gypsan messaged me and told me she was sending me a surprise package that reminded her of me... I had not idea how spot on she was! Seriously the most beautiful shirt Ive ever laid eyes on. It has everything I love wrapped up in one item... earthy browns, fringe, floral, paislies, sheer fabric, bell sleeves, hi-lo... I mean come on!!! I will treasure this shirt for a lifetime. (Kathrine, if your reading this, you were so spot on its crazy! Thank you doesn't cover it)... Btw, if you haven't checked out Gypsan, go do yourself a favor... so many adorable things in one place. And the best part, its owned by an incredibly talented, beautiful women who shares so much positivity and spirit with the world.

Brown and Teal are my favorite colors, so between the bag, the shirt and the jewelry, I'm all over it... Color is such an interesting thing to me... how people are attracted to certain colors but turned off by others... Even within shades of the same color. What are your favorite colors, and which ones do you not like (if any)? Colors I typically sway away from are neons and primary colors.

I just have to say how in LOVE with PPP's new line I am. Her 'Grounded' line is so beautiful, so simple and so comfortable. I love the use of solid colors which is something very different for her. And the velvet pieces are allllll so swoon worthy. As much as I wanted to get a velvet piece, I decided on a knit top since we are the middle of summer here. This will be something I can transition easily into my fall wardrobe. She is also coming out with some super cute new styles right now for the rest of her line. And it's all got my heart beating fast.

I really enjoyed all the colors in this outfit. Earthy tones and jewel tones are my favorite, and when they are mixed, its just heaven to my eyes. I'm a big color girl. I love the muted, dusty or earthy tones of most colors... Or if its a rich color, it can't be too bright... I make exceptions of course... but yep, I'm kind of a color snob. I almost wasn't sure how much I would love these bells b/c I'm not a red fan... but it mixes in with all the other colors so well, I'm very much in love. (and they feel really good on too...)

Ive also been enjoying pairing unexpected jewelry together. These 3 necklaces might not seem like they go together, and to many, they probably don't... but I love them paired next to each other. It's fun to experiment with your wardrobe... and sometimes even when you think something might not work, try it on anyway... you might surprise yourself!

I love that almost everything I am wearing has been handmade, and most of them by artisans I have become good friends with. Makes my heart swell up.
