This Too Shall Pass

Dear mom,

I wish I could have one of these right now.

This week has been emotionally draining on top of being busy. Its times like these I just wish my mom were here to hug and to talk to. I have tons of orders in that I am working on filling. Which would normally be fun and wonderful, I am always grateful for the work I have ahead of me. But for some reason this week, mixed in with tons of errands, pet sitting, change of relationship dynamics, and general fatigue, I am just bummed.

Sorry to be a downer. These are the moments that make up our lives too. So why not share them? I am not all smiles and happy crafting 24/7.

This too shall pass.

xoxo,
Laura

Mexican Market

Yesterday James and I went downtown San Antonio to the Market Square with his parents. We have been talking about doing something like that with them forever, and it finally happened. It was really nice to spend the day with them, although it came and went so fast.

We went to our favorite little square, the mexican market. We ate at La Margaritas, which is the sister restaurant to Mi Tierras where my family always ate growing up. So funny that James parents have always gone to the restaurant right next store! I ate chicken verde enchiladas and has a mango margarita! yummy. I forgot how much mexican food makes me so sleepy. I thought I was going to pass out on the way home, I could barely keep my eyes open. But it was oh so good!

We finally got a huge jar of our favorite mexican vanilla at the market square, we love that stuff! As we walked around I found myself surrounded by beautiful mexican dresses I could not afford. But omg, they had some of the cutest baby ones, that I MUST get when we have a little girl!

Anyway, when James and I were dating we took a pic together in this same spot, so I got James mom to snap another one.

I wore my PPP shirt, this is the first PPP I ever got, I fell in love when I saw it, and luckily it was back in the day and it was actually in the shop long enough for James to buy and it surprise me with it! It my all time favorite shirt, ever! And after I got dressed, James pointed out that my outfit looked slight mexican-y, so I thought it was kind of cute and appropriate for where we were headed off to!

(speaking of PPP, you must go check out her new Austin oxy's, so adorable! I am getting one with flannel sleeves put on it, woo hoo!... shop here)
Now it is time to continue filling crazy orders!

Listening to alot of music and being inspired by words today, I may share a post on a song I currently love and can relate to on a very deep level...

PEACE,
Laura

New Clothes in Shop

I feel like Ive been a bit neglectful of my little blog world lately since Ive been so busy with work. I have a few big orders that Ive been working on behind the scenes. As much as I love that I have these orders in, I cant wait to be done with them so I can breathe a bit more, and focus on what I love most. But I am not complaining, this is how I make a living, and it is all part of it! I am very thankful for all of the moments, even the long boring ones where I feel like Im going cross eyed :)

I am going to try to stay more on it, especially for my Nanna, one of the biggest reasons I post all the stuff I make, so she gets to see on a regular basis what I am making and up to, I LOVE YOU NANNA!!!!

Here are some of the newest little creations I made this past week, two of them are still in the shop! This first pillow case top I think has to be my all time favorite so far. And on the mannequin is my new awesome belt from Ruche, which i LOVE.

I love this suspender style jumper dress, made from all vintage materials, so cute :)

more clothes coming to the shop very soon...
ciao for now!

Laura

My Hippie Friend

So lately it seems like my blog has been more about my adorable friend Katelyn then about Violet Bella, ha ha, but deservingly so, here is another little feature on her.

She just did some self portraits for the first time in a while, and I have fallen in love. She dressed up her Violet Bella headband with the sweetest little flowers, jasmine i think... and she got her new etsy find dress in the mail, just for this photoshoot.

I purchased this one below. I am in love with it. Go check out her shop to find more!

And here are some more captures she got while visiting us!

Our family portrait! Too bad we couldnt bring Nico, our little lovebird out to join us, that would have been perfect! Can you see how terrified Bella (the cat) is? Poor girl, she was pissed! You cant really tell, but she is wearing a little red and white mexican dress.
my handsome handsome man. gosh i am one lucky girl to have him as my husband.
down by the river
i adore this shot. this is katelyn's pink holga, which she got some other amazing shots on!
perfect. this is a jumper i made just for myself, something i rarely do. i love it so much.
a photo i actually look tall in, its a miracle! seeing as i am not tall at all!

this is what we usually look like :)
so again, is she not amazing???

Other than that, my life has been swamped with order supplies, and preparing for some big orders... and wishing i was working on other projects, but joyful for the work...

xoxo.

Laura
