Official Roots and Feathers website >>>

I am so so so excited to announce the launch of the official Roots and Feathers website!  This kind of happened on a whim!  I was browsing etsy this morning and came across an article for CraftLaunch, a hosting site partnered with etsy.  I have always wanted to open up my own webspace with all of our goodness in one place, but was worried about having stuff listed in two places, and being able to keep up with what is in stock at all times.  This site takes that worry out of the picture.  It links directly to your etsy shop, automatically sets up your categories for you just like you have them in your shop, and when someone wants to purchase something, it directs them to your etsy checkout, so in the end, its all the same!  Im thrilled to have a home for my shop, blog and everything else, like Violet Bella, Skyline Fever, my photograph and even my lookbook, oh and my facebook, twitter and pinterest!  This is your one stop shop for all of our work!!!  EEEKKKKK!!!!  (be sure to bookmark this new site)

In other news, a local shop I sell my work in, Corabell's, wrote up a very sweet blog post about my work.  You should check it out and thank her :)

PEACE,
Laura

A few of my favorite bloggers posts >>>

I thought I would share just a few of my favorite blog posts from other bloggers this week. I realized I share alot of links to my favorite designers, but not usually just randoms from blogs I read on a regular basis. So...here are some of my favs from this week...

I adored this sister style post from A Beautiful Mess.  Both of these girls always find fun and unexpected ways to collaborate an outfit.  I love that they are not only sisters and co-workers, but best friends.

This asparagus soup Emma from Food Coma made looks so yummy!!!  A must try.  (if anyone online would be my little beauty icon, it would be this girl).

Kinsey from Sincerely, Kinsey shared a cute chevron necklace diy made from paint chips!

This is probably my favorite outfit Kaylah from The Dainty Squid has ever worn!  She usually wears bright colors (which is way cute on her) - but I love the way her hair pops with this neutral toned outfit!

Moorea Seal came out with some more of her arrowhead rings!!!  Im kind of obsessed with how beautiful these are.  Im waiting for the perfect one to pop up.  I was too slow to grab my favorites...

Enjoy, these lovely ladies are all well worth checking out.  Im pretty sure you probably know them already though :)

PEACE,
Laura

Lune Vintage Harvest Moon Threads >>>

Yesterday I wore my christmas present to myself, this gorgeous handmade Harvest Moon Fringe top from Lune Vintage.  I have wanted this shirt since she first released them.  It is so incredibly beautiful.  I layered it over another basic tee and wore it with some ripped jeans I got from a friend at a garage sale a few days ago for $2!!  My Blowfish Nice flats went with this outfit seamlessly, I love how versatile and comfortable these little shoes are.  Im still obsessed with the ring James got me from amerrymishap on etsy.  And I love the look of my Kelly Ann bracelet from Moorea Seal goes with my sparkly gold braided bracelet from Flourish Leather.  (I was recently given a fancy new bracelet from Danielle of Flourish, I cannot wait to show you, its sooooo beautiful).
*are these shoes not the cutest???*

You may notice that the blog has a whole new look to it!  As much as I LOVED my quilt background before, I felt the urge for a change, as that happens often.  I found the feathers from I Rock So What the other day and just really wanted to incorporate them into the blog, and one thing led to another, and now I have a whole new blog look!  ha ha.  The most exciting part about finding Jess is that she is going to be designing a blog banner for James!  Yep, you heard that right, James is going to start a blog!  He is super nervous and unsure about it, but I just know it will be cool and fun.

PEACE,
Laura
