Threads - Tee Pee & Flowers >>>

Yesterday we spent easter day with James parents. It was such a good day. We went to Fredricksburg to see the wildflower farm. The flowers were so so pretty. Then we went to Luckenbach and had a beer while we watched some singer songwriters strum their guitars.  The weather was perfect all day, not too hot.  I took lots of photos, so Im seperating the outfit from the day.  Ill post fun pics of the wildflower farm next.

I recently got this floral dress from my friends garage sale.  Along with my alltime favorite Skyline Fever shirt.  I love how easy this top is to layer with so many different looks.  Comfiest shirt in my closet.  I snuck Bella in some pics below.  She was hanging out by me when I was taking pics, so I scooped her up for some shots.  It might not of made her day, but it sure made mine!  By the way, this is the best way to wear your hair when you havent washed it in three days...  Just fyi.

Threads - Black & Brown >>>

Last night we went out with some friends to first friday.  Its been a few years since Ive been.  We saw some interesting art.  I have to admit, Im a bit of an art snob, so it takes alot to really get me excited...  Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.  Then we walked the streets with lots of other random strangers and enjoyed the sights and the little pit stops of people playing music and selling their wears out of the front yards.  In the middle of this big group of people selling your typical street art things, there was a beauty of a girl selling very lovely vintage finds.  I was impressed with the style of things she had found.  Although as badly as I wanted to, I could not buy anything... (we are in a bit of a financial downtime right now due to taxes).  But we had a great time with my bestie and her twin.  Im so glad we went.

My outfit last night was probably one of the most 'me' feeling outfits Ive ever put together.  I dont wear black very often at all b/c of my two adorable fluffy white babies.  They get hair all over everything.  But some things are just a must have, like this black hi low maxi skirt.  I just have to carry a lint roller in my purse, ha ha!

Threads - Lavender Flowerchild >>>

Here is the second outfit shoot done by my hubby! Im realizing I smile alot more, but mostly b/c Im nervous I think. Im teaching him how to take certain shots, like close ups. Before you know it, hell be a pro! Im also noticing that as spring has blossomed, so has the color in my wardrobe! All of a sudden Ive felt like breaking out my more colorful pieces. This adorable lavender tee is the newest set for Skyline Fever. I still need to finish photographing them for the shop! I loved the color combo so much I had to snag one. I think I now have snagged 5 flowerchild shirts, eeek!  The skirt is actually a dress, you know one of those simple ruched tube top dresses.  I couldnt believe how perfect this belt from Gypsy Warrior went with these two pieces.  It picked up just the right colors.  Also, can I say I am over the moon with my new Blowfish sandals.  These ones are called the Gypsies.  They also just stocked some of the most fabulous shoes I have seen to date in their shop!  Gooooo look!  It makes my heart race just looking at them.  I really can be a nerd over clothes.  Sometimes I wish I didnt love them so much, but goodness I do.  I love how an article of clothing can make you feel just so you.  For as long as I can remember, Ive been a bit obsessed with clothes. Its a weakness of mine.

These lovely earrings above are from La Belle Vie.  I love the simple hand forged look of them.  My rings are from my shop, Maie Dae and a sweet gifted one from a friend.  Oh, and I tied some vintage trim into my braid.

Im very excited for tomorrow.  I get to see my bestie and her twin sister (who was my bestie in junior high) who now lives in california.  So looking forward to it.

PEACE,
Laura
