Threads - Pretty Layers >>>

These pretty layers below are what I wore to Isabel's ballet recital. I loved all of the colors together so much.  All I could think about was that my mom would of loved this outfit.  In a way, I kind of felt like her in it.  This little chiffon sparrow top has been one of my alltime favorite pieces in my closet.  The burgundy piece below is a one piece jumper, and I must admit, I cant stand the way I look in it by itself.  But its soooo cozy and I adore it, wishing I loved it on me as much as I did on the model online...  so I am finding ways to wear it with layers.  This handmade hemp vest from O Bella Organics was the perfect solution.  It covered up all the right spots, and actually made the the look that much cuter.  I just used one of my vintage belts to hold it in place.  Oh, and the ring below is probably my favorite ring ever.  Looks like little birdie tracks.

Isabel's Ballet >>>

Last night we went to my bestie's daughters ballet recital.  She was a little bluebonnet in a Texas themed performance.  Its her second year in ballet and it was so awesome to see how much she has grown from last years dance.  She is the adorable little girl in the middle (third one from the left).  She was sooo happy, and kept looking out into the crowd at everyone just smiling.  The whole production was really good this year.  Besides seeing Isabel's part, my favorite part is when all the little bitty ones come out and all look like deer in the headlights.  Its so cute!
Just like last year, after the recital when she saw everyone in the hall waiting for her, she was so overwhelmed with happiness that tears were rolling down her cheeks.  She is just the sweetest little girl I know.  And she has two of the best parents in the world.  This beautiful blonde above is my best friend in this big old world.  One Im pretty sure will still be till the day we die.

Threads - Blackbird Tees >>>

This morning I wrote a thank you post over on The Bohemian Collective to all of you who visited the new site!  I am just so so pleased with it all.  Each little nook and cranny of it is beyond what I thought it would be.  I dont think Ill ever get over being thankful to everyone who participated!  And thank you so much to those of you who have donated to TWLOHA through our page!  Means so so so much to me!

Do you ever feel after creating something huge, after all the initial excitement slows down, you just feel sluggish?  That is how I felt yesterday.  I was having terrible internet issues and couldn't complete the simplest tasks.  I finally dropped everything and laid in the bathtub for about 1 1/2 hours (or more).  That is the one place I can go to force myself to not do anything.  Im feeling better today, and Im not having internet troubles, yay!

James got me this uber cool sweatshirt for mothers day from Blackbird tees on etsy.  He told me I could buy myself something from Forever 21 (since he knows I can go crazy there)... but I quickly asked him if I could buy something handmade from etsy instead.  Ive been eyeing this sweater for a long time, and I think I could quite possibly live in it.  Most of the jewelry you see me sporting is brand new stuff I made for Roots and Feathers just this morning!  Ill be listing it all in the shop very soon...

Introducing - The Bohemian Collective >>>

Words can hardly express how thrilled I am to introduce you to the project Ive been working so hard on lately!  The screenshot above is just a snippet of it!  I have orchestrated a collection of artisans to come together in an inspiring lookbook series and blog.  The oh so beautiful blog was designed by Kelly Ann of The Flowerchild Dwelling, and I could not be more over the moon with how beautiful it turned out.  She took my vision and brought it to life ten fold.  Please take some time to go thumb through all the nooks and crannies of this super fun project, and find out how you can be a part of it!

The Bohemian Collective will be a completely separate blog from this one, so please follow via bloglovin' over there.  You can find the link at the bottom of the page.

PEACE,
Laura
