Just a few more peeks into my home and daily life.   I never tire of taking photos of little things.  If there was more light in all of my house, Id probably have a million more.

So, today is friday.  My accomplishments so far: packaging two items & going to the po, outfit pics, pedi and mani, and creating a b-day wishlist on pinterest.  Yep.  So far, Id say very un-productive, but hey, its friday right?  Im thinking about spending some quality time with my sewing machine tonite to make some more gypsy tattered flags for the shop, its been too long, and I miss them.  Honestly, deep down inside lately Ive been pretty sad.  It finally came out last night.  I just miss my parents.  I feel like a broken record when I talk about them now.  Like geez... how many times do we have to hear this again?  Its just a feeling that will never go away, and some days (or several days in a row) it comes on stronger than others, and everything is a hairline away from a cry.  But, the only thing I can do is just keep on, everyday.  Do the best I can, and act like they can still see me and hear me.  And know that my love for them will never die.  Death, what a strange thing we have to face in this beautiful life...

Threads - Crochet + Fringe + Feathers >>>

Yesterday I had a sweet treat from my hubby.  He called me before he came home and said, go put on something cute, Id like to take your picture for you today!!!  I was like, whaaaaaat?????  I was already wearing this, so I didnt have to change!  We drove around town and found a nice little nature trail.  Always fun to still discover spots in a town you've lived in all your life.

I also experimented with my hair a bit yesterday.  I saw a fun tutorial online somewhere the other day about making beach waves by twisting your hair up in knots after you get out of the shower and just letting it air dry.  It worked!  I sprayed just a little bit of hairspray on the curls before I unpinned them and it lasted the rest of the day.  Such an easy thing to do, if you have several hours before you are going out.  My bangs are getting to the point where I either need to cut them again or let them grow out.  Im leaning towards growing them out again.  I love both styles so much, its always hard to decide.

Oh, and the single feather earring was made for my shop, but I decided to keep it... Sorry!  But I love it so, Ill make some more.  Same for the feather tassel belt.  The necklace is in the shop though.

Squirrel Love >>>

Yesterday I caught this little guy throughout the whole day sneaking bird seed from this dish on my porch.  I put this dish up on the railing in hopes the birds would get brave enough to use it this close to the window, so I could get some good pics of them.  So far its worked... (I have a few Ill share later).  But my little squirrel thief has also discovered it!  But he is so darn cute, I really dont mind.  He sat their and ate while I looked at him!
Every now and then he would decide to get skiddish and hop off the top of the railing onto the arm railing that goes down the steps.

 Do you spy him below???
It was so hilarious!  He did it like 4 or 5 times!  He thought I couldnt see him there!  So darn cute.

This is him right before he made his final leap down and across the yard he went.  Mmmm... I love living in the country!  Oh, the other day I also photographed two huge walking sticks getting it on!  I might share those too, ha ha.

PEACE,
Laura

Threads - Inspired by a Messy Braid >>>

This morning as I was drinking my coffee and checking in on a few daily reads, I spotted Kinsey's beautiful locks in a messy braid on A Beautiful Mess. I instantly felt myself wanting to get ready for the day, it was so beautiful. I didnt think my hair was long enough to pull it off, after the teasing, but it was!  Pretty much my new favorite hair-do, so thank you girls!  It made feel a little girly, so I picked out an easy flowing sweet outfit to accessorize my hair.  Yes, today, my clothes accessorized my hair, b/c that is where it all began.  You might remember this shirt I made when I wore it here.  And the skirt is really a long maxi skirt that I pulled up like a tube dress under the shirt.  I think it was the perfect length to show off some cute wedges from Blowfish
*after I took the pics, I called my boy out to take some... yep, he's a cutie*

Tonite I am doing a 30 before 31 list.  Ive never done one of these before, so this should be interesting!  I hope it keeps me inspired throughout this next year to stay creative in personal ways.  Im also going to create my own 30 day challenges for each month of my 30th year.  Ill pick a different something I want to try and do it for the entire month it is chosen for!  So far I have 8 out of 12 things on my list.  Knowing me, it will be quite a challenge, so Im a bit nervous, but excited!

PEACE,
Laura
