I'm pretty darn excited about this outfit post b/c James is in it too!  The sweet Kylee from Ropesouls sent us both a pair of their handmade rope sandals to try out, so we thought it would be fun to style them up together!  I love the idea behind their company, changing lives through the creation of their shoes.  Read more about it here.  And read about their current project bringing jobs to Ethiopia here.  I think it is pretty rad what they are doing.

We took these down by our second private river spot in our subdivision, and were super sad to see the water was so low down there.  One of the deepest spots and it's already so low you don't really want to get in.  Luckily our river spots are still so beautiful just to go on nature walks, so even without the water its beautiful.  But man do I dream of the summers we used to have growing up here when the river were abundant and flowing and you could tube and rope swing.

On a random note, I have seen more baby deer this year than ever!  Everywhere I look there is a baby deer, or two!  Almost everyday.  They are just the cutest damn things in the whole world.  I still squeal every time I see one.  I wish so badly I could have a mini deer pet!  And yesterday I had a deer come up to my studio window while I was working in there and peek in very curiously.  It was so cute!

IPHONE CASE BY CASEABLE

IMG_5989.png

The sweet folks at caseable gave me a chance to create my own custom iphone case using one of my own photos.  I chose my typography print I made with a Leonard Cohen quote on it, one of my all time favorites lines... "there is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in".

I'm absolutely in love with it.  Not only because it feel personal since it has my own photo on it, but the quality is excellent.  I love how thick and sturdy it is.  Ive had a few iphone cases that were thinner break on me before, so I know how important it is.  And the recycled materials that are used help to keep your case scratch free.

With caseable you can either upload your own photo to create different products like this, or laptop sleeves, macbook & kindle cases and more... or you can choose from their artist gallery.  Here are their best sellers

The best part about caseable is their commitment to being green.  They use recycled materials, have teamed up with a company to help collect and recycle electronic devices, and they collaborate with local artisans, further supporting the handmade community.

Can I just say, what a week this has been.  For me its been full of emotions, being tired, but still having my brain go in a million directions.  Im starting to see the clearing beyond the trees and Im just so happy this week is coming to a close.  I guess.  Its odd working from home for myself I kind of forget about Fridays being that anticipated day.  I do remember that feeling though.

Twice this week we came upon beautiful hawks while driving.  The one in the image above was far away and I only had my phone camera on me, so it is blown up and blurry, but you can still see him.  The second one there was no way to capture b/c of the road we were on, but oh my!  He was on a tree right along the side of the road so I was able to see up close for a flash second all of his beautiful colors.  It was a red tail hawk.  So remarkable.  This morning I found an owl feather in my yard.  I have never seen an owl in person, and rarely do I ever hear one here at this house.  You can hear them at my parents alot, but I think Ive only heard one here once or twice in the distance.  I wish I could of seen how it got in my yard.  If it was right in my yard, or if the wind carried it along to me.  I found it as I was watering and feeding the wild birds, so it felt like a beautiful exchange.

In case you missed it, I have been blogging a bit over on the boho blog section, so go check it out if you want.  We have a new lookbook coming soon!  I can't wait to share it.

Also, there is a giveaway going on that is hosted by Datevitation through the whole month of july, its a good one!

Today we are releasing 4 new Skyline Fever designs!  So so excited.  Some of my alltime favorites so far!  Check back later for those.  There are still so many pretties in James shop right now.
