My bone and skull collection has been growing alot over the past year or so and I have been wanting to organize a spot or cabinet in my home to put them all.  On a whim the other day I decided it was the day to make it happen.  I found a shelf I had stored in my garage that was painted bright yellow, I rummaged through the paints that were left behind from the previous owners of our house to see what I could paint it with, and decided on the white that was the same paint for our trim.  Funny b/c I never though I would intentionally paint something white in my life, but I actually love it.

All of my skulls and bones have either been found in the woods, or given to me from my brother or friends who also found them in the woods.  There are a few I did not include on the shelf, including a 2 deer skulls, a horse skull, and obviously my longhorn skull.  I love the variation of skulls that has come into my life.  My favorite is still my little turtle skull my brother gave me for christmas this past year.  He has given me my best pieces and just adore them.

I'm just excited they have a home now.  Any other bone collectors out there?  Do you have photos of your arrangements?  I love to peek into others curiosity cabinets...

LOOKING CLOSER

048 [1600x1200].JPG

I have a thing about exploring the world around me in new ways... and one of them is in the itty bitty details.  I love LOOKING CLOSER at things around me and studying their super fine details.  It brings a whole new world to each thing you look at.  One of my favorite places to do this is out in nature.  But for this, I challenged myself to do it within my own home.  I had so much fun exploring things within a distance of no more than an inch away from the object.  I'm going to make this a regular thing to do for myself, to always explore another side of things.

It has also sparked a side of my photography that I have lost and forgotten about in the midst of my daily photoshoots, lookbooks and jewelry photography.  I know I said MONTHS ago that I wanted to bring back my print shop, and I think this may have re-sparked that again... but with a new vision.  I'm not sure I want to bring back all my old photos I used to have in my shop... but mainly new ones...

Let me know what you think... does this excite you?  interest you?

Just a simple outfit for today.  I can't get enough of this beautiful shirt I found on the sale rack at american eagle.  It is just so so pretty.  And I recently traded this stunning bracelet with Wren of the The Uncommon Wren and I am loving the gypsy style and the white colors... Its going to be so perfect for spring and summer.

I'm going to keep this post super short b/c I need to get out of this computer chair and move!  My body is aching for it...

NEW ROOTS & FEATHERS

It's been a while since I shared new worked Ive created here in this space... These are some of my favorites that I recently posted in the shop.  Ive become obsessed with short collar necklaces!  Especially layered with long necklaces...  The top styles are completely adjustable and can be worn at any length, from your collar to super long, and any length in between!

I have a lot of other new styles in the shop right now, as well as good oldies that I have relisted over the weekend!

Also, did you see the new moon phase crop top in white over at Skyline Fever??? (in love)

I feel like I have so much more to share... but it is monday and I have to get my orders ready to go out!  But, there will be a new giveaway up at some point today, so check back. xo
