Scenes from the past week... What a whirlwind life has been lately. I have found myself overwhelmed and exhausted more often than not lately. But, I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and trying my hardest to stay in the positive about it all. So many trials and lessons, and the big scheme of things, matter so little. For the most part above are images of little moments that made me smile, along with a few snaps of my raw moments.
STEVE & WILLIE
If you do not own these two albums, do your self a favor and run to your nearest record store and get them right now. (In case these are too small for you to see which albums they are, its Steve Earle - El Corazon & Willie Nelson - Always on My Mind.) Okay? Okay.
In case your wandering, the Earle album is adorned with a Soulmakes necklace, a traveling alter kit from Spirit Tribe, a beautiful turquoise ring from Soliloquy Jewelry & a mini cactus.
The Willie album is adorned with a vintage suede fringe vest (that I forgot I had stowed away and cannot wait to wear) & a Roots and Feathers necklace.
Sometimes good music is worthy of being adorned and photographed, that is all.
THREADS // RUST & PAISLIES
outfit details: dress c/o persun // boots - lulu*s.com // necklace - roots and feathers // hat - lovely bird hats
So basically this dress is a badass! That's all I gotta say. And just fyi, it is short (I'm only 5' 2") and there is no stretch to it, so if you don't want it tight around your bum, size up, it has a baggy style to it anyway so it won't matter. I actually can't wait for next fall now to wear this with tights and boots... mmmmm.... And I have to say it goes quite well with my little tee pee :)
This necklace is back in my shop, but its made to order and will take about two weeks (or more) before shipping, but it is available!
I don't think Ill ever get tired of this Lovely Bird hat. It is simply the best hat ever.
ISABEL
This sweetpea is Isabel, my best friends daughter. She is one of the biggest lights of my life. These are just a few of my favorite photos of her. Tuesday morning she is having her second brain surgery. If all goes as planned this could be a life changing event for her and a fighting chance at making her daily seizures go away. Any prayers and positive affirmations would be so appreciated in this moment.
I will be with her and her family for the next few days, but have a few blog post pre-scheduled. Thank you for any prayers in advance!
(p.s. that first photo of us is my favorite photo of us ever! I love the look on her face, ha ha!)
