I feel like a whirlwind of life has happened here at this computer desk the past month.  After building two websites, releasing the new moon reports and a new lookbook, I feel like I can finally breath again, and get back to my normal routine.  Well, I don't really have a routine, but back to not having something big on my plate.  I enjoyed every moment of all of it, but I miss being in the studio just creating.  It's been a few weeks it feels like.  Last night I finally got in there and started creating all new wall hangings and it felt so refreshing.  I'm incredibly inspired by the ocean right now... after creating the sand dollar drawing and sea song poem, last night I began cleaning a collection of seashells my mom had gathered a long, long time ago.  They are so beautiful, so old, and so full of love, for I know she hand picked each one herself with the idea it was somehow 'special'.  I love them.  I will only use a few for projects I will make to sell.  I want to keep most of them for projects for my own home, and to pass down to my children one day, and just to keep around my home.  I so badly want to take a trip down to the beach soon.  Ive been feeling it in my soul for a long time now.  Growing up, we used to go as a family every year.  But that stopped a long time ago and now it seems I only go like once every 4 years or something.  I want to spend hours just sitting on the beach and watching the water, and take longs walk gathering treasures... I want to feel my toes sink into the wet sand.  I want to feel the sun on my skin, and taste like salt.

Jeans, tee and tennies.  This is usually how I dress on days I need to get out of the house but don't really feel like, you now, dressing up at all.  But what I love is that just by adding a jacket and the right accessories, it all of a sudden looks more put together.  I have never felt more at home in a piece of jewelry than this earring from Gypsies Caravan.  The moment I put it on it felt like an extension of me.  Seriously.  Kind of weird how some pieces of jewelry or clothing do that and others don't.  And I love this leather jacket b/c its super thin and lightweight, so I can wear it for a while before it gets too hot.  And the beautiful driftwood necklace will be making an appearance in the next Bohemian Collective lookbook, coming soon!

James and I have begun preparing for a new Skyline Fever spring/summer collection.  I'm beyond excited about it.  After discussing styles, colors and designs with him, I feel a fresh renewal about this line.  And I couldn't be more thrilled with the new looks that are to come.  Ive been a drawing fool since the discussion came up.  I even woke up at 2:30 last night with a vision, and had to get up and draw it right away.  It was kind of magical to draw in the middle of the night, when the world is in such a silent state.  And it ended up being my favorite drawing yet.  Maybe I should make a habit of waking up in the middle of the night to create.  :)

So, Im pretty obsessed with these leggings from chicwish.  They have them in purple too.  I have a deep deep love for blue velvet.  Always have.  Something about it reminds me of my mother, even though I don't remember her ever having anything in blue velvet.  But blue velvet leggings??? Love love love.  I enjoyed how this outfit came together with the different colors.  And it was fun breaking out some of my favorite old thrifted velvet pieces like the blazer and the purse.  Ive had them both for probably 10 or more years.  I remember finding the purse for 65 cents at a thrift store, back when thrift stores were still, you know, thrift stores.  It's crazy to walk into a goodwill now and see jeans for $19.99.  That makes me feel old, since I used to do all of my shopping for the new school year in junior high/high school and spend about $30 for the entire loot!  Anyway... I had some fun with this little outfit shoot, dirty hair and all.

Yesterday I spent the day shooting for the next mini Bohemian Collective lookbook!  Ill let you know when its going to be released... it was one of the most intense shoots Ive done, for fear of messing anything up, and having some odds against me.  But James came in and saved the day and helped me out with the last part of the shoot.  I know I am veryyyy behind on the blog over there.  Ive been finding it hard to find the balance between this space, that space, my actual work, and home.  After the mess I made ALL over the house yesterday for this shoot... today Ill spend some time cleaning up, and hopefully dreaming up ways to be a bit more creative with my time and organization.

Also, I posted the first GIVEAWAY yesterday here on the new blog!  In case you missed it, our giveaways are now in their own little section up top.  Just look for the tab that says Giveaways on it.  From now on, all giveaways will be posted there and not here on the main blog.  So go enter and spread the word! xo

This outfit post is a bit out of sequence... It was from a week or so ago, and I missed putting it up!  I loved the color combo.  Three of these pieces are from past Bohemian Collective lookbooks.  The PPP dress, the Run With The Tribe top and the Sun & Glory deerskin belt.  And can I say how excited I am to start breaking out my  Blowfish sandals again now that the weather is warming up.  Yes yes!  The beautiful rose quartz necklace is from SoulMakes. The earrings are from Larkin & Larkin, and the wrap bracelet is Spiral Drift.  A bevy of handmade lusciousness.
