Yesterday we a had a bunch of errands to run, so on our way we stopped by the river for a bit.  It was the perfect weather out and there were so many people there!  Everyone had the right idea on a sunday afternoon.  Although we had too many things to do to just chill, it was nice to see it for a moment.

James took a few pics of my outfit with my phone.  Not the best photos, but I loved this outfit.  This elephant dress from Sheinside is just adorable!!  And I love love this ombre fringe armband from Crafturday.  Cant wait to wear it this summer with tank tops!

Oh this was the coziest outfit.  It was chilly the other day and it almost made me miss winter (almost).  Texas is so funny... one day its 90 and the next its 50.  You just never know.  Sometimes its both all in one day.  I wear this sweater ALOT around the house, so Im happy to finally have worn it out of the house!  Its definitely one of my lounging staples.  And I adore this beautiful healing gemstone necklace that Kami from Full Moon Creations sent me.  The colors are so perfect together.

Im super stoked.  In about one hour my brother, his son and my nanna will be here at my house!  Its been forever since any family has come to my house.  Its usually me going to theirs.  So when it does happen, it makes me giddy.  Its a freakin gorgeous day today, which makes me even happier.

So, this is going to be short and sweet!  Time for family!  And in case you missed yesterday's post, Im have a HUGE sale in both of my shops for just a few days!!!

I scored this adorable little silk embroidered number at a thrift store in Slidell.  The one thrift store we stumbled upon was awesome!!!  I could of spent hours in it.  But instead, I frantically skimmed through the two rooms full of authentic 60's & 70's clothing, freaking out inside.  I came away with this dress, an adorable little vintage suitcase and a hand crocheted purse.  The prices were not cheap so I had to be very selective.  I was in pure heaven for a moment though.  And Im so glad I got this dress.  I love it.  Although there are stains on the back of it... I don't even care, I love it that much.  I need to see if I can work on them though.  And honestly, seeing this dress on me makes me realize I need to add more color to my wardrobe.  And (yes I start alot of sentences with and...) I love my Blowfish Gyspy sandals so much I got them in a second style.  They are my favorite!  I love the weave on the bottoms of these.

I wore this out to Tarpley the other night to watch a friend play some live music and hang out with our other besties who we haven't seen in ages.  It was a wonderful laid back night with good friends and beer.  Just what the doctor ordered.  And Im super excited to get to see them again tonite!

So, I curled my hair in Louisianna for the first time in a very long time (with an actual curling iron) and I loved it.  So I attempted it again here.  It looks so good for like 30 minutes and then just goes flat.  Thanks to many people leaving wonderful feedback on my instagram photo, Im going to try some new methods b/c I love it curled!!!  And Im pretty sure Ive decided to grow my bangs back out for a while.  They are to the point where I need to grow them or cut them again and I always go back and forth.  This time, we grow.

The Rolling Stones.  They remind me of junior high/ high school days.  I guess b/c that is when I really got into them for the first time.  My parents were not big stones fans.  I think they liked them, but just didn't really listen to them alot.  Im thinking they were a bit too rock for them.  But I remember fond memories of me and my friend Rebekah listening to them in our youth, and Ive been a fan ever since.  Seeming them a few years back in concert was quite an experience.  My father in law is in love (obsessed) with them.  James name was almost Mick, if that gives you an idea ;)  And James old bedroom is now his dad's Rolling Stones room.  Its so cool.  He has framed all his old concert shirts, some going way back to his early twenties, and hung them on the wall.  It even has a white shag rug in the middle of the room to lay on and listen to records.  I love it.

Wearing this shirt with these boots a friends gave me in high school brought me right back.  In a strange way.  In junior high and part of high school I was pretty dark, and wore alot of black.  Alot.  I need to dig up some old photos.  I love to see the evolution of being through style, b/c I think our style really reflects alot about us.

And yeah, I had some crazy hair here.  A mind of its own apparently.
