Today is my birthday! 31 years old. Well be having dinner with James parents, but my real party wont be until this weekend. My sweet friend katelyn and her family are coming from Louisianna just for my birthday! Pretty awesome. Im excited to have a few friends over to my house on sunday. Im keeping it very simple this year.
My outfit above is from this saturday that I spent with family. I love this shirt of my mamas so much, so glad I still have it. The bag is from my wishlist I posted here. The folks at persunmall were so sweet to send it to me. It IS perfect for my camera, so happy! The braided feather necklace will be in my shop soon! Along with a few others in different colors. Im so excited about them. Feather in a bottle necklaces were one of the very first things I had in my shop and its been ages since Ive made any. And these sandals... um, the best. Both my best friend and aunt gasped when they saw them. Keepers.

I received this sweater a little while back right when it was beginning to get super hot, so Ive been a bit bummed that I just couldn't wear it yet. But weve had some rainy days lately, and Ive been able to keep it by my side for moments when its cold enough. I have it stuffed in my bag ready to go to the hospital too for when this baby is born. I think its just about the prettiest sweater. I'm sad to see it was sold out, but they have similar ones in cream and pink. I could of just over looked it though, so it would be worth double checking. And this fringe top??? Love at first sight. Sent from the lovelies at For Love of the Moon vintage. Love their style. I was so happy I got to break in the Coco sandals from Blowfish yesterday on my moms birthday. Ever since these were released they have reminded me of my mom. And its so odd, when I wear them I feel her. If she were still alive I know Id be sharing all my blowfish shoes with her!!!
Yesterday was a bit of a rough day. Missing her. It wasn't an extremely emotional day, just kind of made me feel blue all day. Weird how birthdays and other 'landmark' days can do that.
I had planned on doing a photoshoot for the bohemian collective this week and its been raining everytime weve had a chance. Its kind of crazy how long this shoot has been delayed for one reason or another. But soooon Ill be back in action!
I have some other big daydreams going on up in my head right now. The kind that is scary b/c of the commitment, time and money that it will take. So for now its just not in the cards, but Im not going to let the daydream go away. Has anyone experienced having an Indigogo campaign? If so, how did it go?

I'm pretty sure this is my first ever no-makeup outfit post. Ill be the first to admit, I don't usually feel comfortable in my own skin without makeup. I hate that, but it's true. I'm pretty sure it stems from generations of women in my family who would not leave the house without it. Something I want to work on. But it's hard for me, b/c I don't see myself the same in the mirror most days. I don't have the same level of confidence without it. Sad, isnt it? But its the honest truth. So, here I am. Learning to let go.
Did you notice those beautiful bracelets??? They are named after me! Pretty darn excited about it. Ettika contacted me a few weeks ago about wanting to create a bracelet stack named after Roots and Feathers. I got to pick out three bracelets to design the 'stack'. It is now sold in their shop as the Roots and Feathers Stack. How cool is that? I love that they are adjustable. I have tiny wrists so many bracelets don't fit me well. I think the ones I picked out look great together! They were kind enough to even send me the stack I picked out, so here they are in person. Pretty sure these are going to be on my wrists all summer.
Bella decided to join me today for my outfit post. Im pretty sure I was more excited about that then she was, but that's okay. I was working on piecing together a look for an upcoming lookbook shoot with the bohemian collective, so some of these pieces are making sneak peeks. I can't wait to get back in action with the collective. Although this summer heat has not been that encouraging to get out in. But soon... a new shoot will be happening!
