One day last week James came home and said he wanted to take me to the river for a picnic, so that is just what we did!  We took Violet with us b/c she is currently OBSESSED with car rides, even though its over 100 degrees out!  She loved it.  We found a shady table and snacked on cheese and bread.  Horrible I know, but its what we had.  Then we took a mini walk through the trees.  I had my camera with me so James snapped some pics of my outfit.  He didn't want his picture taken that day, but I snuck in that last one.  Too cute!  As we were leaving I found that feather and bone.

I'm so in love with these floral boots from Persun.  Not the real doc martin, but still adorable.  Even since high school my friend had a pair of floral docs I was so in love with, I have been searching for them... but everytime I find a pair they are $3-400 since they are now 'vintage'.  These babies have filled that little hole in my heart, ha ha.  Sometimes I am such a girl who loves fashion way too much.  I always have and probably always will.  A true guilty pleasure.   This outfit kind of reminds me of high school actually.  I was a teenager in the 90's after all.

I cannot wait for fall!  Omg, Im so ready for fall picnics and drives and photoshoots and nature hikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Cant. Wait.  My favorite time of year is just around the bend... If we can survive the rest of August in this Texas heat!

Today I simply want to talk about this outfit, b/c... I'm in love.  The Novella Royale pants are sooooooooooo dreamy.  I could live in Novella Royale.  Yes I could.  Hands down my favorite clothing designer.  They are ridiculously comfortable and the deadstock fabric they use is just the most beautiful around.  Period.  I'm dying over this dress.  Is that not the most beautiful dress ever???  *sigh*

This lovely clutch from Leotie Lovely is just so darling.  Their clutches are made from vintage re-purposed fabrics, and are all of very limited quantity.  This one only has two like it, which means there is just one left!!  My current favorite from their shop is this one, love!!!!!!!  Read about their green policy to find out how they use low impact supplies and give back to communities.  A darling company, and the sweetest of souls who runs it!

I'm so in love with the wire wrapped crystal rings from The Whimsy Emporium.  She can make them in any size and with different crystals.  She has beautiful natural earthy inspired jewels.  I have a feeling my fingers are going to be adorned by these ALOT.

The necklace you may have spotted in my shop, Roots and Feathers.  Speaking of necklaces and Roots and Feathers, check out Jenny Highsmith wearing her R&F suncatcher necklace at TxSC in Austin this weekend!  And some of my staple bracelets from Spiral Drift and Ettika (the roots and feathers namesake stack).

Okay, that was alot of outfit talk, but it was just so deserving!  Stellar finds from amazing people!

Over the past two years I have had the wonderful honor of teaming up with Blowfish Shoes to share how to style them up.  They quickly became, and have remained my favorite shoes in my closet.  All of them are not only so very much my style, but are so comfortable, so well made, and so versatile.  I thought it would be fun to compile some of my all time favorite looks while wearing Blowfish Shoes.

Their new fall collection came out and I'm drooling over several of them.  I'm so so so ready for fall fashion.  I miss my boots and jackets and layers... Mmmm, I can't wait.

This little outfit post is actually about 2 months old!  I totally forgot about it and it got lost in the vortex of photos on my hard drive... (a scary place that is).  Reminds me how much I love this vest from Skyline Fever.  I recently re-designed the flowerchild image, so this older version may no longer go into production.  Were not sure yet, we may keep both b/c James still really loves this one.  I can't wait to release the new one though...  Actually, we have several new images coming soon!  And we are about to be bringing back all of the sold out crop tops!  I am really so proud of James and his little shirt company.  I may be a bit biased, but Im just so in love with it all.

This  morning I feel like Im on the verge of recovery so to speak.  You may remember about two weeks ago I was going like mad, full of energy and inspiration and I just couldn't stop myself... I said at one point that I was probably going to burn and crash... Well, then came last week... James had the whole week off, and somehow before the week even started we had every day filled up with something.  Most of it was good stuff, full of friends and wonderful things.  By sunday I felt absolutely exhausted.  I couldn't really figure out why I felt so tired b/c it really was like a vacation in a way.  But my Nanna reminded me that I'm so used to being by myself all day long, and so much activity and human interaction probably just depleted me, and I think she is absolutely right.  I spent Sunday and Monday so tired I could barely function properly, and then all day yesterday I had the worst headache that just would not go away until I went to bed last night.  I finally decided to slather myself in Thieves oil that my friend had sent me for headaches, and grab my amethyst stone and put myself to bed early.  It was the best decision I could of made.  I slept a little over 10 hours last night and I feel so much better.  I know alot of it too is my lack of watching what I eat and how I move the past few weeks.  I was doing so well for a while and when things get busy I just tend to fall apart in those areas.  Its like I have to keep having these cycles, and keep getting myself back on track.  I don't know what it will take to just keep me on a constant daily self care regimen.
