I'm kind of in love with the lighting in these photos and wondering why I have never used other parts of my house for photos like these before.  I am definitely going to experiment more with using different places in my house as backgrounds for photos.  And I'm also in love with this outfit.  I actually wasn't too sure about the jumper b/c I felt to bare in it by itself, until I found this kimono.  Bam, I'm in love now.  Some pieces of clothing are like that... until you find just the right pairing it doesn't work and then all of a sudden its transformed.   

It's another rainy day here in Texas.  Which means the house is dark, the babies are cuddled up in bed, and I'm having a hard time motivating myself to get to work.  I had a day off yesterday where I treated myself to a reiki session with an old friend and we spent a few hours catching up, it was so good for my soul.  Feeling truly blessed and thankful for that connection.   

Time to force myself to get in the studio and get some stuff shipped out.  Time to crank up the music!

Another capture of a moment at home.  Rainy day, cozy clothes, neil young on vinyl, aquarius nation birthchart and these super rad bonlook glasses.  Glasses are sooooo wonderful for lazy sundays.  Ive had an ombre obsession for quite sometime... James and I joke about it alot, and the glasses are no exception!  I'm in LOVE.  What I love the most about these frames is that they fit my face and don't slide off like so many glasses do b/c I have a small face.  On their site they specifically let you know what size face each frame is for, so I chose a small frame and they are perfect.  One of the most annoying things about glasses is I'm constantly having to push them up b/c of my small framed face.  I'm pretty confident I could dance the night away in these and they wouldn't fall off, score!

p.s.  Ive had alot of these throw my hair up in a bun make-up-less days lately.  This month I have found myself over-commited and increasingly emotional and I feel myself needing to retreat a bit.  Yet I have far too many things on my plate to just retreat.  So for a while this blog may be a whole lot of outfit posts and giveaways (some really rad giveways are scheduled), until I can find the space again to be clear with my heart and my words.  When I'm not working, you can most likely find me tucked away in my bed with the twinkle lights on, journaling.  October is my favorite month with the seasons changing and Halloween coming up, so I'm really hoping to get my spark back in time for that.  I remember feeling this way last year around this time too.  I miss my dad alot around Halloween, so I'm sure that is part of it.
