New Clothes in Shop

I feel like Ive been a bit neglectful of my little blog world lately since Ive been so busy with work. I have a few big orders that Ive been working on behind the scenes. As much as I love that I have these orders in, I cant wait to be done with them so I can breathe a bit more, and focus on what I love most. But I am not complaining, this is how I make a living, and it is all part of it! I am very thankful for all of the moments, even the long boring ones where I feel like Im going cross eyed :)

I am going to try to stay more on it, especially for my Nanna, one of the biggest reasons I post all the stuff I make, so she gets to see on a regular basis what I am making and up to, I LOVE YOU NANNA!!!!

Here are some of the newest little creations I made this past week, two of them are still in the shop! This first pillow case top I think has to be my all time favorite so far. And on the mannequin is my new awesome belt from Ruche, which i LOVE.

I love this suspender style jumper dress, made from all vintage materials, so cute :)

Beautiful Postcards

My much awaited postcard finally arrived and now in the shop!

I think they are just precious. This set is a springtime indie woodland sort of theme. Im so excited to add these to the shop!

You get a set of 6 cards, that can be used for a postcard, a pretty note for someone, a bookmard or even just a art hung up in your house, for only $12.

The edges are rounded and there is a very vintage feel to these cards. And they feature 6 of my favorite prints!

New Things Aboard

New and exciting things are happening behind the scenes at Violet Bella.

*I have two new assistants who will be helping me with my uploading, Jen & Katelyn. I could not be more excited, both of these girls are super cute and talented in their own ways, and I feel very honored to have them aboard.

(Speaking of Jen, check out this post she did with lots of pics from our hula hoop making party)

What this means... I will be able to focus a bit more on designing and creating. I get in a rut sometimes with creating because I feel like I have so much to post and it just piles up, so now with the help of friends I will be able to focus again on my craft, which means more goodness for all of you!

*I am introducing a new look and feel to my product photos that I could not be happier about. So the shop is getting a little makeover :)

*There is a whole new line being daydreamed and slowly created behind the scenes that I cannot wait to share with you! Eeeeek, I think it is going to be fun!

*There are many new pieces on Ruche! I am psyched that I have joined there team and that it is doing well for them!

*Working on my new fall line of jewelry (see below), and I am just joyful with it. Not too much different from my normal stuff, just more focused on fall colors, patinas, woodland and feathered creatures. All the stuff I usually love. These are just a sneak peak of what will be going in the shop tonite, many more!

I will be adding a custom photo necklace listing to the shop as well. I love how this customer wanted to use a vintage family photo, so special.

Texas meets Louisiana

So very excited, this beautiful girl below is on her way right now, driving from Louisiana to Texas to come meet me and stay with us for a week! Her and her little one Leena. After becoming very very good friends online for a year now, we finally get to meet in person! I think we are both nervous and excited as heck!

We plan on hooping, making hoops, bbqing, chilling, garage saleing , goodwilling (yes, that is a word in my vocabulary), healthy food making, playing with leena, and generally just hanging out and talking. So you prob wont see much of me on here for the next week! Maybe though :)

We will take tons of pics and video I am sure of it! We have a few photo shoots planned anyway.

She is one of my number supporters of Violet Bella, here are just 3 shots of so many that I have of her in my clothes!!!

Last week I was asked by a friend and fellow photographer, Laura Evans to do a guest post on "inspiration" on her blog while she is away in France...

Last sunday I had my good friend Jen come over and give me a hand with some things with my business. Not only was it majorly productive and helpful for me, it was fun and delightful just to have her around. I adore this girl so much, she is like none other. She is an amazing baker, who bakes everything in an easy bake oven! She usually can only bake 6 cookies at a time, yes, I said 6!!! So I let her use my oven while she was here and she busted out the most amazing batch of oatmeal cookies while she was here! Which has inspired me, I just made a batch of my own from scratch, and only hopeful they will turn out half as good as hers...

Then I showed her how to make homeade pizza dough. When Jonny got off work, he came over and shared it with us, along with some awesome Red Stripe. Then some guitar jamming commenced and some amazing conversations.

And this crazy rainbow has seriously been showing up on my ceiling a few times! This is not a figment of your imagination, it was really there!!!

I wore my PPP dress the other day and snapped a few pics for Shauna. I love the way it looks with the peacock feather headband I got from a friend.

And here is one of the most beautiful girls Ive ever laid eyes on wearing Violet Bella. I think this tshirt mini dress was simply made for her. It looks so amazing on her! And she says she loves it! Makes my heart so happy!!!

Time for the next batch of cookies, and some serious resting for a bit before company gets here!
