So, I may be changing my mind about dresses b/c this little number is just adorable!!!  Although just a warning, I don't think its meant to be a dress but more of a tunic.  I'm a short short shorty, so it fits me like a dress, but most of you girls out there might head caution that your little tush might hang out...

I'm kind of in love with this tibetan quartz necklace I made, so I'm going to keep it... but if anyone wants a custom order one just message me on etsy.  I have a few more of these crystals and most of them are even bigger than this one!  I love the black and brown leather together...

And I'm smitten with this Evidence arrowhead ring.  I can't even tell you how long I have admired Katie's work.  Just fyi, you might want to be following me over on instagram b/c there just may be a giveaway from her coming up soon over there...  

Both this ring and this beautiful cuff bracelet from Lindsay Lewis are going to be featured in an upcoming lookbook for The Bohemian Collective!  Which in case you missed it, a new lookbook went up on my birthday!  Many more to come throughout the upcoming weeks, so stay tuned over there.  Besides there are tons of really rad thought provoking posts that have been going up lately from all the other rad ladies who contribute there.  Its been good folks.  I couldn't be happier with my crew of women over there!  Just makes my heart flutter.

P.S.  did you see my friends in the background again???  Ha ha, they are just always hanging out now.  I love them.  The other day they even brought two of their babies around us.  I couldn't believe it!

SAY HELLO TO 32

Pics from my birthday!  We had plans to go spend the whole day in Wimberley, but after we got all ready to go and the car packed we found out there was a 70% chance of rain all day there, so we decided to make plans to go another day.  We ended up going to Boerne to walk around the shops and get lunch.  Then that afternoon we made a very spontaneous date with a few friends to play in our river and have a little bbq and campfire.  It was super last minute and not prepared for but ended up being so nice and just what I wanted.  Although 32 is starting to show its age... Staying up until midnight and having 4 beers has left me feel sluggish all day long the next day, like to the point where I got nothing done.  But it was fun and I can't wait to go to Wimberley soon and make up for not going!

I wore my new Novella Royale bells that I gifted myself for my birthday.  Threadsence had a member exclusive sale with $50 off!  It pays to get those subscriber emails! 

James gave me two cds, Neil Young and Willie Nelson's new albums.  The Neil album is a cover album and the new Willie album is soooo good!  I also found that pretty rug at an antique store.  It was one they had in the middle of the floor for people to walk over, and the lady thought I was half crazy when I asked if it was for sale.  But she sold it to me for $20, 'dirt and all' she said, ha ha!  I actually love that its old and worn and falling apart.  I also found a cool old brown bottle and James found a vintage tin (he collects them).  Then we ate lunch at the Bear Moon Bakery.  It was nothing to write home about but it was nice to not have to make my lunch!  I was so looking forward to eating at a place in Wimberley...

I grabbed a homeade cupcake from the bakery for my cake.  My first year I didn't have an actual cake of some kind!  But this worked!  A few of our friends came and we went down to our river and chilled for a bit while it thunderstormed around us.  It finally got dark enough with enough lighting we decided it would be smart to get out of the water and head home.  Then we bbq'd in the sprinkles, got our feet muddy, and had a super nice time together.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS OF MY 31ST YEAR

June 2013.  My besties 3rd child was born.

July 2013.  We found Delilah, our longhorn skull.

August 2013.  I baby sat alot and got the cutest photos of Laurel.

September 2013.  Spending my anniversary with this handsome fella in Galveston and Louisianna.

October 2013.  Celebrating this silly boys birthday at our house.

November 2013.  Having these sweet peas at our house.

December 2013.  Watching my husband smoke a pretzel.  Ha ha!

January 2014.  Celebrating Bird's birthday.

February 2014.  Going to see Fred Eaglesmith play and having all our friends there.

March 2014.  Going to Willie Nelson's ranch at Luck Texas with Minnetonka.

April 2014.  Spending a few days in Dallas while my besties girl had surgery, and having this little tot pass out on my chest.

May 2014.  Going on vaca with the women in my family and being a river rat (stylishly of course)...

June 2014.  Coming full circle and celebrating this little boy's first birthday!

Today is my birthday and I thought it would be fun to go back and look through my photos from my 31st year.  So many good things happened, but I realized my happiest moments throughout the year were the ones spent with loved ones, so that is mostly what is above.  This past year I have seen relationships shift and change so much.  People I used to see all the time I hardly ever hear from.  Some are deeper than they ever were before.  Some old friendships that had ended are rekindling.  Funny how life ebbs and flows like this with the energy of people. 

Today marks day one of being 32.  I'm looking forward to what this new year brings.  So far 2014 has been amazing.  It has kept me busier than ever, but I'm learning to go with the flow of things and know that I can only do so much in a day.  A friend of mine told me the other day that this was just the beginning, and it made me think and see things in a new perspective, with fresh eyes, and it really does feel like just the beginning.
