I had the sweetest moment with our deer the other day. I sat right on the edge of our sidewalk with my camera and just quietly sat with them and photographed them for about 45 minutes. I'm so incredibly happy that the new babies are now a part of the big guys and get to come eat with everyone. There are two babies that I'm certain of, but I think I spotted two more out in the field the other day. One of the babies from last season who is almost a full grown adult now comes so close to me. It was about 1-2 feet away eating. If there were not so many other personalities in the mix now I'm sure they would be eating out of my hand by now. But our heard has grown so much, usually having around 17 deer at one time, that when one gets spooked the others do too. And there are always deer in the mix who haven't gotten to know us, so it's a daily process to see them all mix together. Some days they are are cool and mellow and then others they are all fighting and kicking each other. The kick the shit out of each other too, it's crazy! But my heart is soooooooo overjoyed at having babies in our yard. There is nothing sweeter than a baby deer.

Well this might be one of my favorite outfits ever!!! What is funny is the first time I put on this dress and styled it differently I was kinda bummed and didn't think I liked it, but then!!! I changed my styling up and BAM. Cutest little dress around. This is why accessories are so fun and can completely change the look of an outfit. Oasap currently has tons of these tribal inspired dresses right now too.
I picked up the adorable southwestern bag from a local shop in the town next to me called Of A Muse. These guys became instant friends the first time we ever met. I can't get enough of their spirit! Truly beautiful people. They don't have any of these listed in their online shop, but you can email them or message them on instagram and they will let you know what they have in stock in the shop and mail it to you! There were several others in different colors that were so beautiful! I love the size of this bag so much. Really I love everything about it. And by the way, they sell my Bohemian Collective magazine and James Skyline Fever shirts in their shop! So go support these amazing peeps!
I'm kinda sad that my henna has already faded off, so no more beautiful henna shoots! At least I got a few in before the fade. I had so much fun with my friend Katelyn doing henna for me. While drinking Mai Tai's of course. :)

VIOLET MAE GOES TRIBAL
I'm pretty much in love with today's post, b/c well, I'm pretty much in love with my adorable pup Violet Mae. She wanted to share off her new Earthbound Trading bed with you guys! She loves to lay on this spot on the porch everyday, and she is pretty happy that now its a little cozier. She is getting up in age and is dealing with arthritis, so she doesn't jump up into her other chair much, and I imagine the cushion is helping her back legs a bit. And besides that its just plain adorable!
Earthbound has a whole pet line now and our family is pretty stoked about it!!!! Violet Mae says thank you Earthbound!!! Btw, look how adorable she is in one of their handkerchiefs!! They are not up on their site yet, but be on the lookbook. It's sooooo soft!
Oh yeah, Frogs like dog beds too! This little guy hung out on Violet's bed from nighttime to early morning and watched the sun rise. NO JOKE!!!

I recently shared two lookbooks over on the Bohemian Collective, one with this Raga top, and one with the same print in a dress. Ive been wearing this top alot lately, so I thought I would share a more everyday version of those lookbooks. This is easily one of my top 5 articles of clothing in my whole closet. It is so flattering in its cut, the fabric is so light and airy but not see through, the print is gorgeous... It's just a great little top. The dress is too for a fancier day out. I love it worn with simple jeans + simple sandals. Raga has stolen my heart!
About the beautiful jewels in this outfit... The first ring shown with the beautiful feather side detail is from La Bella Joya. I sent her the stone and she created the ring for me using it. It turned out to be a beautiful collaboration and now I'm hooked on her jewels. The quality is amazing and I love the little details she uses like the feathers on the side. The second ring is of equal quality and details, with feathers on the side also but in a different form and variation. That ring is from Stone Sparrow. Marina is a sweetheart and such an amazing artist. This ring came in a box that she handdrew a hummingbird and flowers on! Talk about attention to detail. And last but definitely not least, this amazing squash blossom necklace from Aurora Shadow. Veronica custom made this baby for me to use in my last Bohemian Collective Magazine in the main editorial spread. It came out just as I envisioned and is now my favorite piece of jewelry I own. I wear this baby so much. You can see it worn as a hatband in the latest lookbook here. I feel incredibly blessed to even own this beauty. You won't find this in her shop, but I'm pretty sure she will make them on request if you message her. It's like the most amazing secret gem around!!!
Out of all the hats I own, I have two favorites that I wear constantly. One being a FP leather rancher hat, and this one, a handmade beauty from Whisler Civilian. Love love love these guys and their craftsmanship. Stellar work and style.
It's a joy to know where all the items I wear come from, and to know the hearts behind the creations. The best part of sacred adornment in the everyday. Of course not every article of clothing or piece of jewelry I own or wear has a story or an artist behind it, but the majority of them do, and it feels so good to adorn myself with these items.
