I can hardly believe it's already the weekend.  It feels like it was just saturday.  The days, weeks and months have just been flooding together this year.  Everything is moving so fast.

Ive been working on my third issue of the Bohemian Collective Magazine, and each time I begin this process I seem to forget the amount of detail work that comes in to play, especially in the first month, and then in the last month.  It takes me 3-4 months to create one issue since I'm doing it all by myself.  The first month is spent in total brainstorming mode, sending a million emails, waiting for a million replies, hoping things work out, but creating tons of back up plans just in case... My brain literally goes in a million directions.  I can feel my blood racing through my body when I'm in this mode.  It's exhilarating and exhausting, but so exciting!  It's definitely easy for me to burn out quickly though, so my self care is SO important during this time.  I'm really happy that a friend has asked me to join her for yoga class each week b/c I will be looking forward to that reset each week during this crazy creative time.  If I don't slow down and fill that well up I will get sick.  With the way time feels like its moving so quickly these days, it feels like I won't be able to keep my head above the water, but I know I will.  One day at a time.  Creating a magazine is unlike any other thing I have created before.  I'm still pinching myself for the fact that I'm in the middle of working on my THIRD magazine issue!  Wow.  Holy Wow.

Btw, if your new here and are curious where you can find the first two issues, they are available through the links here.

About this outfit... it seriously makes me so happy.  All of these pretty pastel colors together, the flowers, the fringe, the kimono doodles, the rings... It's like a fresh spring smile on my body!!!

This outfit was from about two weeks ago when me and my bestie went to see Steve Earle play at Gruene Hall.  We met up with my friend Tiffany Huff of Axis Moon and her hubby, which was the first time meeting them in the flesh.  We met in line waiting to go into the hall.  The moment I saw them walking across the street I fell in love.  Instant kindreds, and the sweetest of souls.  Even my bestie told me days later how sweet she thought they were.  They left a good feeling in our soul, and I can't wait to spend more time with them.

Steve's show was nothing short of amazing, just like everytime Ive seen him.  I think that was about the 5th time seeing him.  And we get to see him again in June!  I love that he comes to play Floore's, a venue so close to home, every year.  Thank God he's a Texas native even though he doesn't reside here anymore.  Once you have Texas in your heart it never goes away!  His new blues album is so good.  It was great hearing the new songs live, and he played some of my old favorites too.  Damn I love that man!

I am so glad I grabbed this Spell top when I did b/c they all sold out so fast.  It is my favorite garment in my whole closet.  It reminds me of the perfect blend between me and my mama.  It's so light and flowy, the colors are the prettiest dusty hues, the print is so feminine and bohemian.  I'm just in love...

Tomorrow is a huge day.  Not only b/c we get to attend the Free People Event in Austin, but it's also a new moon/ solar eclipse/ equinox.  Equinox's are special to me.  I never knew why years ago.  But when James and I got married I felt called to do it on an equinox.  Over the years I have learned more and tuned in more to my life during these times, and they are always pretty intense for me, in both good and bad ways (although the bad is still good, always, just feels bad).  Usually around the fall & winter ones deep seeded things come up to my conciousness, or I feel deep longing for things past, all sorts of feels... The energy I have felt this week leading up to this spring one is nothing but excitement and far out diving timing of things.  I have felt like I'm in a state of mind blown the past few days.  The way certain things are linking up, the timing of things, the letting go, the new, the connections, all of it.  It's just wow right now.

I feel like I am being called to step out.  Step out of my comfort zone.  To feel safe in the world, and trust in the divine timing of everything.  To truly heal and let go of past murk lingering in my body that has clung to me from past people, old family wounds, generations past, etc.  Time to say goodbye, thank you, and forge ahead in a new light without the weight of them anymore.  Time to sew new seeds of all kinds.  Time to truly take a stand for my own body, in all ways, to love her, to talk nice to her, to nourish her, to feed her well, to move & touch her, to adore her as she is, always.

It feels like its a new year.  Like this is really the beginning of 2015.  It's here, lets dive in!!!

First of all, I just want to say thank you to those who left me sweet comments on yesterday's post about my mom, here on the blog and on my instagram + facebook.  I felt filled with love.  And I always feel not so alone b/c so many other people have experienced similar losses.  Not that I wish it on anyone...

So... about this outfit.  I'm pretty much in love.  My friend Katelyn was selling this skirt & I'm so happy I nabbed it.  Ive been wanting it for quite some now, and I am in love.  Spell items are a bit tricky in sizing, for me at least.  I'm not sure if it's b/c I'm a shorty or what.  But I have a few pieces now... some are too small, some are too big, at least to how I would prefer them to fit.  Luckily this one fits just right, but there is ZERO give room.  It has no stretch, so literally a few pounds more and it wouldn't fit me.  And I know all those beautiful Aussie girls flaunt the high slit in this style skirt wickedly, but I had to wear biker shorts underneath.  We went grocery shopping this day, and it was windy out, and I must of flashed countless people.  And, I got some funny looks in the grocery store, so I'm sure as I was walking I was flashing people the whole time.  Oops.  Next time I think Ill just pin it.  As far as James tells me, girls come into the grocery store all time in teeny tiny biker shorts, but I guess I'm just a bit more modest than that...

But, with all that said, I love this outfit!  I love mixing prints & styles.  And we had a nice day.  The weather was gorgeous that day.  We went to one of my favorite thrift stores, and although I found nothing, just walking around a thrift store makes me happy.  I'm always intrigued by the things people throw out.  One man's trash is definitely another man's treasure!

It's another beautiful day outside today!  I need to go take advantage of it.  It's been so back and forth lately between beautiful sunny days with not so hot temps to rainy cold dreary days... And Ive been thoroughly enjoying both!

OH, and the day after I took these photos by our garage, it got broken into.  Someone stole our weedeater!  Damn it, I hope Karma comes to bite them in ass! ;)  First problem weve ever had living out here in the country, so hopefully it was a fluke!
